Key features in DbVisualizer include :
DbVisualizer connects to many popular databases through JDBC drivers, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, SQLite, Cassandra, and BigQuery. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
With nearly 7 million downloads and Pro users in 150 countries, DbVisualizer scales from solo projects to enterprise-grade database management.
Sqemo is an ERD tool built around one idea: physical names should be generated from your team's naming standard, not typed by hand.
You register a glossary (customer โ cust, number โ no) and naming rules (case style, delimiter, how to handle unknown words) first. Then you model at the logical level โ "Customer Number" โ and the physical column comes out cust_no, the same way for everyone, every time. Overrides are allowed but explicitly flagged, so they never spread silently. Because the correct name is computable, drift is detectable: an in-app linter flags deviations, and a CLI fails CI on violations (npx sqemo-mcp lint).
Key capabilities: โข Logical/physical model separation with stable links between the two โข SQL DDL import/export in seven dialects: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, SQLite, H2, CUBRID โข DBML import/export โ one round trip to move from dbdiagram โข Runs free in the browser with no sign-up; projects autosave locally and live in a plain .erd.json file you can commit โข MCP server (sqemo-mcp) with 33 tools โ AI agents read and edit your ERD while following your naming standard โข Team workspaces: shared standard, proposeโapprove queue for new glossary words, and a compliance view showing which ERDs drift from the standard

It's especially useful for those who appreciate a unified, cross-platform solution with strong visualization capabilities.
simple to use, versatile and increases productivity
I use DbVisualize since 2004... My personal idea is that DBVisualize is the best tool to develop complex SQL query, trigger, stored procedure...dbvis has a very simple export function to convert a query result in various format (csv, xlsx, JSON, SQL) In addition, dbvis has a very simple function to import flat data file into a table, or to generate DDL of entire database. another great functionality is a graphical editor to create a complex joins between two or more tables. Without dbvis my work be impossible!!!
