CubeUnstuck Learn is a browser-based Rubikโs Cube solver and interactive digital tutor. While most tools just spit out robot-optimized algorithms, CubeUnstuck acts like a human teacher. It bridges the gap between what people search for (a solver) and what they actually need (a way to learn).
Using our superior adaptive computer vision, you simply hold your standard Rubik's Cube (with black borders around the stickers) up to your webcam. The app instantly builds a synchronized 3D "digital twin" of your exact scramble. If the lighting is off, a quick manual 3D editor lets you fix colors instantly.
Unlike generic YouTube tutorials that leave you guessing how to apply steps to your unique cube, CubeUnstuck provides personalized, hands-free guidance using the beginner-friendly Layer-by-Layer method. You don't even need to read: full voice explanations tell you exactly what to do next. The app uses a unique "sandwich" teaching rhythmโhighlighting the piece, showing the trajectory with curved AR arrows, and validating the moveโcreating real "aha!" moments for kids, parents, and beginners.

CubeUnstuck's answer
CubeUnstuck is a digital tutor that scans your physical Rubik's Cube via webcam using adaptive computer vision, creates a synchronized 3D digital twin, and guides beginners through the Layer-by-Layer method with hands-free audio, AR overlays, and a "Sandwich" teaching rhythm of observe-act-confirm.
CubeUnstuck's answer
Unlike calculator apps that spit out unmemorable algorithms, CubeUnstuck teaches intuitive solving with smart AR scanning, voice guidance, impossible state detection, and shareable deep linksโmaking it ideal for true beginners over mobile solvers.
CubeUnstuck's answer
CubeUnstuck targets complete beginners aged 7+, including parents helping kids, STEM teachers, and casual users frustrated by traditional tutorials or dropped cubes.
CubeUnstuck's answer
CubeUnstuck was created to fix the frustration of standard Rubik's solvers by turning them into an interactive teacher, using AR scanning and 3D visualization to make learning accessible for non-speedcubers via a free web app.
CubeUnstuck's answer
It leverages OpenCV for smart AR scanning with Dynamic Color Optimizer, Three.js/WebGL for the 3D digital twin, and browser-based tech like React/TypeScript for hands-free UX with voice guidance and Bezier animations.
CubeUnstuck's answer
As a free web app, CubeUnstuck has no paying customers.
As a mini-blog, it is a nice alternative for Medium to publish and share information about programming.
However, the community and the organization are biased toward social justice (and they are open to it). You can read its Code of Conduct, it is so vague and politically leads (I prefer a term of service because it defines fair rules for everybody). So it alienates developers that we don't care about politics in pro of people that want to talk about any other topic such as sexuality, how women are unprivileged, and such. It even mandates to use inclusive language. Good grief.
My main complaint is the quality of the community. It is not StackOverflow (so we don't want to ask for an answer here), and most of the top topics are clickbait, such as "how to become a rockstar developer in ... days", "100 tips to become a better programmer" (and it doesn't even talk about programming).
Technically this "mini blog" site allows us to use markdown, and it is okay. However, the whole experience is really basic. Even the template is ugly.
Based on our record, DEV.to seems to be more popular. It has been mentiond 649 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.

While developing Wasp, a JS full-stack framework, we keep researching other ecosystems (Rails, Laravel, Django, etc.) and finding ways how they figured out developer productivity. We kept finding these reusable legos, so we gave them a name: "full-stack modules". Let's define what we mean by that exactly. - Source: dev.to / 12 days ago

Getting a first thing online is a milestone worth not reaching alone. A MLH hackathon is the perfect place to try: build, break, and deploy alongside other people over a weekend. And DEV is always here for the other parts, open all the time, where a new coder can post the project, ask for feedback, and read how someone else cleared the same hurdle. - Source: dev.to / 16 days ago
Same idea. Four rewrites. Four character budgets. Four hashtag policies. Four mental models of an algorithm I do not control and cannot see. And that is before you reach Mastodon, Threads, Reddit, a newsletter, dev.to, and whatever launched this quarter. - Source: dev.to / 18 days ago
