As answered by people managing Cowork Island and Sing App React Java.
Cowork Island's answer
A native macOS app written in Swift that uses each tool's own local signals: Claude Code and Codex hooks, and read-only local state for Claude Cowork sessions and Claude desktop chats. Updates ship through Sparkle; the website runs on Cloudflare and purchases go through Polar.
Cowork Island's answer
It lives in the notch panel at the top of your Mac and shows every compatible AI session as one card with its tool and status, separating the ones that need you (a permission request or a question) from the ones still working. It is a native Mac app, it follows Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor and other supported tools at the same time, and it reads its signals locally: nothing leaves your Mac.
Cowork Island's answer
Many alternatives follow one tool, usually Claude Code. Cowork Island watches several tools side by side, including Claude Cowork sessions that run in a VM without hooks, and applies one rule everywhere: only a permission request or a real question moves a card to Needs you; idle reminders never do. You can group, prioritize and mark work Done, and Pro jumps you to the session that needs you. Free is permanent, with one session in view.
Cowork Island's answer
Developers and other professionals who run several AI coding or chat sessions at once on a Mac (Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Codex, Cursor and similar tools) and want to know, at a glance, which one is waiting for them.
Cowork Island's answer
It started as a personal fix. Its author works as a medical writer and runs several AI sessions a day; checking each terminal and window to see who had finished and who was waiting became a job in itself. The panel was built to answer that one question, with Claude used across most of the work, and it was in daily use for months before its release in September 2026.
