Cosminds

Turn every book, video, article, and note into ideas you keep. Cosminds distills what you read and watch into structured knowledge, organized by concept instead of by source.

Most tools store what you consume. Cosminds connects it.

How it works

  • Add a source: a book, a YouTube video, an article, a PDF, or your own notes.
  • Cosminds extracts the core claims and ideas, not a generic summary.
  • It files each idea by concept and domain, so related thinking from different sources sits together.
  • It surfaces a cross-source insight only when two or more of your sources argue the same point or contradict each other.

What makes it different

  • Cross-source insights. You see where your sources agree and where they clash, across your whole library.
  • A grounded AI Wiki. Ask a question and get an answer built only from what you have saved, with citations. It refuses topics you have not covered, so it never makes things up.
  • Active recall. Each idea becomes a short drill that ends in writing it from memory, graded by AI, then scheduled for spaced review.
  • EU-only AI. Everything runs on Anthropic Claude through AWS Bedrock in EU regions. Your content never leaves the EU.

Who it is for

People who read and watch more than they can remember: learners, students, researchers, writers, and founders.

Free to start, no card required. Paid plans add depth, larger inputs, and more forges each week.

Cosminds features and specs

  • Multi-source capture
Forge books, YouTube videos, articles, PDFs, and your own notes into structured knowledge.
  • Organized by concept
Knowledge is grouped by idea and domain, not filed under the source it came from.
  • Cross-source insights
Surfaces a connection only when two or more sources argue the same point, or contradict each other.
  • Grounded AI Wiki
Answers questions from your own library only, with citations. It refuses topics you have not covered.
  • Active recall and review
A three-round drill ends in writing the idea from memory, graded by AI, then scheduled for spaced review.
  • EU-only AI
All AI runs on Anthropic Claude via AWS Bedrock in EU regions. Your content never leaves the EU. Each is true today, names the mechanism, and would not survive a competitor pasting it (the cross-source rule, the Wiki refusal, and EU-only are specific to you). If the directory caps description length and one gets cut, the two safest to drop are Active recall and EU-only; the first four carry the product.

Gitmore.io features and specs

  • AI-Powered GitHub Profile Optimization
Gitmore.io uses AI to analyze and help optimize GitHub profiles, making it easier for developers to improve their visibility and attractiveness to potential employers or collaborators.
  • Developer-Focused Tool
The platform is specifically designed for developers who want to enhance their GitHub presence, providing targeted recommendations that are relevant to the software development community.
  • Easy to Use
Gitmore.io offers a straightforward interface where users can quickly get insights and suggestions for improving their GitHub profile without a steep learning curve.
  • Profile Enhancement Suggestions
The tool provides actionable suggestions for improving README files, repository descriptions, and overall profile presentation to help developers stand out.
  • Time-Saving
Rather than manually researching best practices for GitHub profiles, Gitmore.io automates the analysis process, saving developers time they can spend on actual coding.

Possible disadvantages of Gitmore.io

  • Limited Public Information
As a relatively niche tool, there is limited public information, reviews, and community feedback available about Gitmore.io, making it harder to evaluate its effectiveness before committing.
  • Dependency on AI Accuracy
The quality of suggestions depends on the AI's ability to accurately assess what makes a GitHub profile effective, which may not always align with individual goals or industry-specific expectations.
  • Narrow Scope
The tool focuses specifically on GitHub profile optimization, which is only one small aspect of a developer's overall online presence and career development strategy.
  • Privacy Concerns
Users may need to grant access to their GitHub data, which could raise privacy concerns about how that information is stored, processed, and potentially shared.
  • Uncertain Long-Term Value
Profile optimization is often a one-time or infrequent task, which raises questions about the ongoing value and utility of the platform after initial improvements have been made.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Cosminds and Gitmore.io.

What makes your product unique?

Cosminds's answer

Cosminds does not just store what you read, it connects it. An insight is created only when two or more of your sources argue the same point or contradict each other, so you see agreement and conflict across everything you have learned. Knowledge is organized by concept and domain, not by the source it came from. The built-in AI Wiki answers only from your own library, cites what it used, and refuses topics you have not covered, so it never invents an answer.

Gitmore.io's answer:

Gitmore represents a thoughtful approach to democratizing Git repository intelligence, successfully addressing the common challenge of extracting actionable insights from complex development activities. The platformโ€™s combination of AI-powered analysis, cross-platform compatibility, and business-friendly reporting creates compelling value for teams seeking to improve visibility into development progress without investing in comprehensive engineering analytics platforms.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Cosminds's answer

People who read and watch more than they can remember. Lifelong learners, students, researchers, writers, and founders who take in books, long videos, and articles faster than notes or memory can keep up. The common thread is volume: enough incoming material that manual note-taking stops working.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Cosminds's answer

Tools like Obsidian make you file and link everything by hand. Flashcard tools like Anki make you write every card yourself. Capture tools summarize one source and stop there. Cosminds does the extraction, the cross-source connection, and the recall for you. It reads across your whole library, shows where sources agree or clash, answers questions only from what you saved, and turns each idea into a written recall test that an AI grades. You keep the thinking, it removes the filing.

What's the story behind your product?

Cosminds's answer

I read and watched a lot and kept almost none of it. Highlights piled up in apps I never reopened, and notes turned into a graveyard. I built Cosminds to fix my own problem: one place where everything I take in gets distilled into ideas, connected across sources, and tested until it sticks. It is built by one person and shaped by daily use as a real reader, not a demo.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Cosminds's answer

Frontend: React, Vite, and TypeScript. Backend: Python and FastAPI on AWS Lambda and API Gateway, with DynamoDB, S3, and Cognito. AI runs on Anthropic Claude and Amazon Titan embeddings through AWS Bedrock, in EU regions only. Payments through Stripe.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Cosminds's answer

Cosminds is newly launched with no named customers yet
