Cosmic Themes's answer
The story behind Cosmic Themes is one of passion and problem-solving, and a touch of jungle inspiration. But my background isn't what you might expect. I've been an embedded developer since 2017, immersed in the world of hardware and code at a lower level. So, how did I end up creating website themes?
I embarked on a journey into web development in mid-2022. I dove into the basics, wrestled with the challenges, and experienced the frustrations firsthand. It was a trial by fire, but it gave me a deep understanding of what developers truly need.
Then, I discovered the magic of Tailwind CSS and Astro. The speed, the power of content collections, the built-in image optimization, the incredible developer experience... it was exactly what I was looking for.
I started building websites for friends and family, and their enthusiasm was contagious. But more importantly, it exposed me to the full spectrum of web development, from SEO optimization and image compression to Core Web Vitals and captivating animations. I learned the intricacies of building truly performant and engaging websites.
That's when I realized something: the Astro ecosystem, while incredibly promising, was lacking high-quality starter projects and themes. As a newer meta-framework, it was ripe with opportunity. I saw a chance to provide real value to the community, to help developers like myself build amazing websites faster and easier.
And that's how Cosmic Themes was born. It's not just a collection of templates; it's a toolkit built from my own experience in the trenches, designed to streamline your workflow, boost your productivity, and empower you to create stunning websites without reinventing the wheel. Cosmic Themes is the shortcut I wish I had when I was starting out, and I'm excited to share it with you.
