Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing CoreLogic and PerilPulse.

What makes your product unique?

PerilPulse's answer:

PerilPulse returns property-level hazard risk for every address in the United States: letter grades A–F across 25+ hazard types — flood, wildfire, wind, hail, earthquake, storm surge, lightning, sinkhole and more — over a JSON API with sub-100ms responses. Pricing is published openly: $1.40 per query, down to $0.50 at volume, a $50 deposit to start, 3 free queries on signup with no credit card, and no annual contract. Public API documentation at perilpulse.com/api.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

PerilPulse's answer:

Insurance underwriters, MGAs, carriers, and insurtech developers who need per-address hazard risk in their quoting or underwriting flow.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

PerilPulse's answer:

Published pricing and pay-as-you-go terms: start at $50, no annual contract, no procurement cycle. Three free queries let you grade your own addresses before committing. Every result is a plain A–F letter grade across 25+ hazard types for any US address, returned over a simple JSON API with public documentation.

What's the story behind your product?

PerilPulse's answer:

PerilPulse is built by Underwriters Technologies, a US insurance-software company led by Jay Menna (other products: InsurSys, Agent Front End). It exists to give underwriters and developers property-level hazard grades over a simple API, priced per query with no annual contract.
