It combines traditional social sharing with AI-sharing buttons that send visitors to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and other answer engines using page-aware prompts designed to generate citations back to the original content. It also combines AI Graph metadata, AI intent analytics, contextual prompts and on-page AI previews in one lightweight widget.

The product is positioned as accessible to everyone from individual bloggers to enterprise organizations.

What's the story behind your product?

AskThis's answer:

AskThis was created in response to the shift from traditional search and social feeds toward AI-generated answers. Its core idea is to create a bridge between web publishers and AI answer engines: content flows outward into AI conversations with citations, while intent data flows back to the publisher. The product roadmap began with a free social + AI sharing widget and has expanded toward analytics, AI discoverability, citation monitoring and enterprise capabilities.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

AskThis uses a lightweight, framework-free JavaScript widget with no third-party dependencies. The widget is under 12KB gzipped, loads asynchronously, uses Shadow DOM isolation to avoid interfering with a site's styles, and can be installed through a universal embed, WordPress plugin or Shopify app. It also uses AI models such as Claude and GPT for prompt generation, alongside AI Graph metadata and integrations with multiple AI answer engines.
