As answered by people managing Contractable and Ookulli.
Ookulli's answer:
Ookulli mainly uses open-weight AI models running within infrastructure we control, alongside traditional software engineering. The platform and its supporting services are hosted on AWS.
Ookulli's answer:
Ookulli is a visual contract-review workspace that already knows what to look for. It applies built-in UK legal and commercial checks, highlights and prioritises risks directly in the document, and shows the contract text and legal context behind each finding. Users get a structured review visually tied to the document without having to invent prompts for a general-purpose chatbot.
Ookulli's answer:
Ookulli is designed for people with low legal expertise reviewing a service agreement, NDA or employment contract, not enterprise legal teams. It explains risks in plain English, shows why each issue was flagged and uses a pay-as-you-go model instead of a subscription. Contract data is not used to train AI models. For complex matters, Ookulli helps users prepare for a solicitor rather than pretending to replace one.
Ookulli's answer:
Ookulli is primarily for UK freelancers and individuals who receive contracts occasionally and do not have a lawyer on call. Its sharpest fit is creative freelancers, such as designers, writers, photographers, consultants, and production professionals, reviewing service agreements or NDAs. It also supports employees and job candidates reviewing employment contracts.
Ookulli's answer:
Ookulli began after founder Lóránt Bartha used AI to challenge a 10% fee buried in a property agreement. The experience showed both the promise and weakness of generic AI: it could help, but only if the user knew what to ask and could trust the answer. He built Ookulli to put the review questions, UK legal context and privacy considerations into the product, so people can understand a contract before signing it.
