Constrainly is a free design system platform for AI-assisted frontend development. Create consistent color palettes, typography scales, spacing systems, border-radius and shadow systems, then export them as strict, AI-ready rules for Claude, Cursor, Copilot, v0 and Bolt. Includes a library of ready-made page sections and full page templates styled to your own design tokens.

Constrainly's answer
Tools like v0 and Tailwind are great at generating or styling UI, but neither decides your design system for you โ you still have to pick your colors, type scale, and spacing, and keep every AI-generated screen consistent with them. Constrainly handles that decision-making step first, then feeds the result to whichever AI coding tool you use, so every screen it generates stays visually consistent instead of drifting between prompts.
Constrainly's answer
A deliberately simple stack: HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript on the frontend, PHP on the backend, hosted on Hostinger โ no frontend framework, build tools, or npm dependencies. Kept intentionally lightweight to stay fast and easy to maintain.
Constrainly's answer
Constrainly isn't just a Tailwind config generator โ it's a guided system for making the actual design decisions first (color, type scale, spacing, radius, shadows), then exporting them however you need: CSS variables, Tailwind v3/v4 config, JSON, or ready-to-paste rules for AI coding tools like Claude, Cursor, Copilot, v0 and Bolt. It also includes a library of pre-built page sections and full page templates that automatically apply your tokens, so you can go from "I picked a color palette" to a styled page without hand-writing CSS.
Constrainly's answer
Frontend developers and small teams โ especially ones without a dedicated designer โ who use AI coding tools like Claude, Cursor, Copilot, v0, or Bolt to build interfaces and want those AI-generated screens to look consistent instead of like a different app every time.
Constrainly's answer
AI coding tools are great at writing code fast, but left alone they tend to invent a new color, spacing value, or corner radius on every screen โ so a project generated over a few weeks ends up looking stitched together. Constrainly was built to fix that: define your design system once, and every AI tool you use afterward has clear rules to follow instead of guessing.

Reminds me of what bootstrap [1] was like around a decade ago. It's gotten quite a bit bloated since then though. 1. https://getbootstrap.com/. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
But there is a new library, built from the beginning for Signal Forms. Its name is @ng-forge/dynamic-forms. It comes with an integration of common UI libraries: Angular Material, Bootstrap, but also PrimeNG and Ionic. - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
Bootstrap used to be - and may still be - the most popular CSS framework for fast, responsive web development. It includes a set of predefined CSS classes, components, and JS plugins that make it easier to build modern design, responsive layouts, forms, navigation, and other interactive elements. It goes further than the previously covered Tailwind CSS, which focuses solely on styling. - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
