Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing CommitCat and Taskoria Habit RPG.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Taskoria Habit RPG's answer:

Flutter (Dart) for the iOS and Android app, Firebase for backend and analytics, RevenueCat for subscriptions.

What's the story behind your product?

Taskoria Habit RPG's answer:

Taskoria is built by a solo developer who grew up on RPG habit apps, and was deeply inspired by Do It Now: RPG, which is Android-only. The idea was to bring that feeling to both iOS and Android with a deeper game loop (locations, monsters, bosses and crafted gear) and without the punishment that makes people quit. Since October 2026, Taskoria has been in full-time development.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Taskoria Habit RPG's answer:

People who have tried habit trackers and dropped them: students, gamers and anyone who finds plain checklists boring. Many are in their teens and twenties and grew up with RPGs. It also suits people with ADHD, who often quit apps that punish missed days; Taskoria only rewards progress.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Taskoria Habit RPG's answer:

Habitica takes HP when you miss a day, which turns a bad week into a reason to quit. Build-it-yourself apps like LifeUp give you a toolkit you have to design first. Taskoria is a ready-made game that only ever rewards you: you start fighting on day one, there's a clear finish line in every land (six monsters, then a boss), and progress never goes backwards. It also tracks real-life skills with their own XP and longer goals with bronze, silver and gold badges.

What makes your product unique?

Taskoria Habit RPG's answer:

Taskoria is a habit tracker built around a real RPG battle loop. Every task you complete deals damage to the monster in front of you. Each land has six monsters and a boss, and beating the boss opens the next of seven lands. Monsters drop ingredients that you craft into gear, so building a habit literally makes your hero stronger. And unlike other RPG habit apps, it never punishes you: miss a day and you lose no HP, levels or gear. Only the streak bonus resets.
