TerraCore is a location intelligence API that turns a coordinate, address, or ZIP code into 200+ structured neighborhood signals in under 100ms.

Instead of building a GIS pipeline, querying Census variables, and aggregating spatial data yourself, TerraCore returns a clean JSON payload with ready-to-use neighborhood intelligence.

We handle the heavy lifting โ€” spatial joins, block group aggregation, POI proximity calculations, and proprietary scoring โ€” so developers can enrich applications with real location context in minutes.

Block Group Precision

Most location APIs stop at the ZIP code level. TerraCore resolves queries to US Census block groups (~1,500 people), giving far more precise neighborhood insight than city or ZIP-level averages.

ZIP queries return population-weighted rollups across all underlying block groups.

Data Included

TerraCore provides 200+ flat JSON fields including:

  • Population, density, median age
  • Demographics and age distribution
  • Race and diversity metrics

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Command-C and TerraCore.

What makes your product unique?

TerraCore's answer:

TerraCore focuses on neighborhood-level intelligence rather than raw datasets. Instead of requiring developers to combine multiple public sources themselves, the API integrates US Census demographics, OpenStreetMap spatial data, and derived analytical indices into a single structured response.

The result is a unified neighborhood profile that includes population characteristics, economic indicators, accessibility metrics, and composite location scores. TerraCore is designed to transform geographic inputs such as coordinates, addresses, Census Block Groups, or ZIP codes into actionable location insights with a single API request.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

TerraCore's answer:

Many location APIs provide either mapping infrastructure or raw demographic datasets. TerraCore is designed specifically for location intelligence and neighborhood analysis.

Instead of requiring developers to gather Census data, process geographic boundaries, integrate spatial features from OpenStreetMap, and build their own scoring models, TerraCore provides these insights in a single API response.

This significantly reduces the engineering work required to build applications involving neighborhood analysis, real estate analytics, market research, or geographic enrichment.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

TerraCore's answer:

TerraCore is designed for developers and data teams building applications that require geographic context.

Typical users include:

  • real estate analytics platforms
  • proptech startups
  • market research and demographic analysis tools
  • location intelligence applications
  • data engineering teams enriching geographic datasets
  • AI systems that need structured neighborhood context

The API is particularly useful for applications that need to convert geographic inputs into meaningful neighborhood insights.
