Speed-Check is an open-source, privacy-first internet speed test built on the M-Lab NDT7 protocol (the same standard Google uses) combined with Cloudflare endpoints. Unlike most competitors, it requires no account, stores no personal data on public pages, runs only a single light ad placement, and offers a completely free embeddable widget — features that are paywalled or hidden elsewhere. React 18, Vite 5, TypeScript 5, Tailwind CSS, M-Lab NDT7 (measurement protocol), Cloudflare (CDN and edge measurement endpoints), Supabase (backend/edge functions), and PWA standards. Browser extensions are built on Manifest V3 (Chrome) and the WebExtensions API (Firefox 140+).
