Hireinator helps companies test, grade, and hire developers for the AI era. Instead of fighting AI-assisted cheating on take-home tests, Hireinator measures the skill that actually matters now: how well a candidate works with AI. In agentic AI interviews, candidates collaborate with an AI pair-programmer that can confidently introduce a flaw, and Hireinator grades whether they catch it, how they communicate, and how they make decisions.

The platform covers the full screening funnel. AI resume screening ranks hundreds of resumes against your job description with fit summaries, strengths, gaps, and red flags. Bulk invites work from any spreadsheet, AI maps your columns automatically. MCQ screening is free and unlimited. Coding challenges run in a real in-browser IDE with automated test-case execution across Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C++, and C. AI grading produces skill sub-scores for quality, efficiency, and readability, with a skills radar for every candidate.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Codewars and hireinator.

What makes your product unique?

hireinator's answer:

Most assessment platforms treat AI as a cheating problem to detect and block. Hireinator flips this: candidates work with an AI pair-programmer, and we grade how well they direct it. The AI can confidently introduce a subtle flaw in its own code whether the candidate catches it, tests it, or ships it is the signal. Integrity checks still exist, but they're kept strictly separate from skill scores, so a human always makes the final call with full context.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

hireinator's answer:

Two reasons,

  • Relevance: traditional coding tests measure how developers worked before AI assistants, Hireinator measures how they work now every transcript is server-verified and graded on reasoning, verification habits, and decision-making, not just final code.

  • Pricing: no subscriptions or seat fees. You pay only when a candidate actually takes an assessment, MCQ screening and interviewer seats are free forever, and your first candidates are free. For teams hiring a few developers a year, that's a fraction of the cost of a HackerRank or CodeSignal subscription.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

hireinator's answer:

Startups, IT services firms, and staffing agencies that hire software developers, especially teams screening at volume, like campus and fresher drives in India. The day-to-day users are founders, engineering managers, technical interviewers, and recruiters.

What's the story behind your product?

hireinator's answer:

Hireinator started from a simple observation,

Every developer now works with AI, but hiring still tests them as if they don't. Take-home tests are quietly completed by ChatGPT, and platforms respond with an arms race of cheating detection.

We thought the honest answer was to change what's being measured, let candidates use AI openly, and grade the skill that actually predicts job performance in 2026: how well they direct, verify, and challenge an AI collaborator. The platform was built founder-led, end to end, and launched in 2026.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

hireinator's answer:

Go (Gin, GraphQL), React with TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, Monaco Editor, Judge0 for sandboxed code execution across multiple languages, and large language models for resume screening, agentic interviews, and grading.

  • Of recursion and backtracking
Recently, I was working on a coding kata on codewars.com. Early on, I started thinking that a potential solution might utilize recursion, a concept that involves a function calling itself. However, I quickly realized that my grasp of recursion was not as solid as it needed to be for this task. In this post, I will share the insights gained from deepening my understanding of recursion while working through the kata. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
  • 4th year, about to fail an entire semester's worth of classes.
Get more involved. Look into internships and junior SWE positions to get a sample of what you'd be applying for once you graduate. Solve coding challenges, start working on a portfolio of your personal works. I recommend codewars.com for coding challenges, it's fun. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Beginner with C++ looking for direction
I'd recommend to play around with some basic coding challenges on leetcode.com or codewars.com. If the course prepared you well you won't find this useful, but playing around with them will make sure that you are comfortable with basics such as loops, if statements etc. Source: about 3 years ago
