I'd recommend to play around with some basic coding challenges on leetcode.com or codewars.com. If the course prepared you well you won't find this useful, but playing around with them will make sure that you are comfortable with basics such as loops, if statements etc. Source: almost 3 years ago

After a quick look on Google trends it appears that place of worship shootings get more searches than school shootings actually. Go ahead and punch some in yourself. It seems that on a per victim basis, churches receive more press. The same is true when viewed as an event.
