I'd recommend to play around with some basic coding challenges on leetcode.com or codewars.com. If the course prepared you well you won't find this useful, but playing around with them will make sure that you are comfortable with basics such as loops, if statements etc. Source: about 3 years ago

If you want a graphic design job then you need a portfolio that shows more design and a lot less illustration. I think a lot of hiring managers probably see your portfolio and immediately close the tab because they donโt see the design projects hiding among all of those 3D illustration projects.
