OrmFactory is built with C# and .NET 8, using Avalonia UI for its cross-platform desktop interface. It runs natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux, with x64 and ARM64 builds. Native AOT is used for the desktop application, with performance and low resource usage being important design goals.

There aren't any big-name customers to brag about yet. OrmFactory is currently used by individual developers and engineering teams, including developers working in large engineering organizations. I don't claim a company as a customer simply because one of its developers uses OrmFactory.

OrmFactory exists because I wanted to build the database tool I actually wanted to use. I make tools because that's what I know how to do โ I wrote my first one for the ZX Spectrum back in 1997.

With OrmFactory, I decided to do it differently: build the tool the way I believe it should work, keep the underlying philosophy intact, and let developers decide whether that approach works for them.
