FolderPal is a Google Drive folder automation tool: copy a whole folder with everything inside it, or generate a new folder structure from a reusable template in seconds.

Google Drive copies files, but to this day it still can't copy folders. FolderPal helps you copy the entire folder tree however deep, including nested subfolders and files. Works between My Drive and Shared Drives, carrying sharing permissions across with it.

What FolderPal does

  • Copy a Google Drive folder and its contents — no template required. Guide: https://folderpal.io/docs/copy-a-single-folder
  • Reusable folder templates — build your client, project, or case structure once, then generate it in seconds. Guide: https://folderpal.io/docs/create-a-new-folder-template
  • Dynamic merge fields — name folders and files from your own data, like {{client}} - {{month}}
  • Formats preserved — Docs stay Docs, Sheets stay Sheets. Nothing is converted, and no "(1)" or "Copy of" is added to names
  • Sharing permissions and roles — set per template or per generation
  • Shortcuts instead of duplicates — Option to copy files as shortcuts
  • Preview and edit the structure before anything is created; your source folder is never changed
  • Bulk folder creation via CSV or API, with webhooks and a full generation history

Who it's for

Agencies, accountants, law firms, schools, real-estate and construction teams — anyone who rebuilds the same Google Drive folder structure for every new client, case, or project.

Runs in the browser, nothing to install, and a free plan with no credit card required.

  • Learning Curve
    While Codeship Basic is relatively easy to use, Codeship Pro has a steeper learning curve, particularly for users who are new to Docker and advanced CI/CD practices.
  • Support
    Although support is available, some users have reported slower response times and less comprehensive support compared to other CI/CD platforms.
