“How does ChatGPT actually talk? Can I make my own?” EchoKit is the next rung on that ladder—hands-on, but not hand-holding to the point of boredom. The best part? It’s not toyified. Teens can see the same components pros use: firmware flashing, Wi‑Fi provisioning, REST APIs, LLM prompts, TTS engines.
We intentionally designed the learning curve:
Use ours. Start with our hosted server—no cloud keys needed.
Own it. Sign up for an AI service key, plug it into a private EchoKit server, and point the device there. Now you own your data path.
Hack it. Replace cloud services with local ASR/LLM. Train or clone a voice. Add knowledge bases and actions.
