So I built a small API, wrote real rules into CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md, and then broke one of those rules twice on purpose. The first break was something any decent security scanner would flag anyway. The second one had no reason to get caught unless a tool actually opened the file and read it. I ran both through CodeRabbit and Qodo to see what would happen. - Source: dev.to / 2 days ago
I run Devin Review and CodeRabbit on every PR. PDF spec edge cases and CSS layout corner cases are exactly the kind of thing where having a second pair of eyes matters, and as a solo maintainer I don't have human reviewers. Don't do bootcamp. Start with something like https://freecodecamp.org and take a few lessons. Try to build something from that and see how motivated you are. If you see some progress and this thing still excites you, then may be find an engineer (a friend/co worker etc) who can guide you a bit as you continue to build something. Start small and stay away from bootcamps (my 2 cents). - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
