Cloud infrastructure can typically scale resources up or down based on project needs, which is helpful for handling varying workloads.

Possible disadvantages

  • Internet dependency
As a cloud-based service, it requires a stable internet connection to function, which can be a limitation in areas with poor connectivity or during outages.
  • Limited information available
There is relatively little publicly available detail about the platform's specific features, pricing, and reliability, making it harder to evaluate thoroughly.
  • Data privacy concerns
Storing code and projects on a third-party cloud raises potential security and privacy considerations, especially for sensitive or proprietary projects.
  • Potential performance limitations
Cloud-based environments may experience latency or performance constraints compared to a powerful local development setup, depending on the service tier.
  • Vendor lock-in
Relying on a specific cloud platform may make it difficult to migrate projects elsewhere, creating dependency on the provider's continued operation and pricing.
  • Wi-Fi Spectrum Analysis
Live visualization of nearby Wi-Fi networks across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
  • Channel Recommendations
Analyzes channel quality and helps identify cleaner Wi-Fi channels.
  • Spectrum Heatmap
Visualizes channel activity over time to reveal congestion patterns.
  • AP Radar
Tracks a selected access point using signal strength for easier physical locating.
  • Roaming Test
Monitors BSSID changes and signal transitions while moving between access points.
  • Network Self-Check

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing CodeinCloud and WiFi Lens.

What makes your product unique?

WiFi Lens's answer:

WiFi Lens combines Wi-Fi spectrum analysis, channel recommendations, roaming testing, and network diagnostics in one native macOS app. It is designed to make wireless troubleshooting understandable without hiding the technical details, and most analysis runs locally on the Mac. A free open-source edition is also available.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

WiFi Lens's answer:

WiFi Lens is a good fit for Mac users who want both Wi-Fi analysis and practical network diagnostics in one lightweight native app. It covers channel congestion, access-point tracking, roaming behavior, DNS, proxy, gateway, and connectivity checks without requiring a subscription. Users can also try the open-source edition before deciding whether they need WiFi Lens Pro.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

WiFi Lens's answer:

Mac users who want to understand or troubleshoot their Wi-Fi connection, including home users, power users, developers, IT professionals, and network enthusiasts. The interface is designed to remain approachable for non-specialists while still exposing useful technical details.

What's the story behind your product?

WiFi Lens's answer:

WiFi Lens started from a simple frustration: macOS provides only limited visibility into what is actually happening around a Wi-Fi connection. Useful information such as nearby networks, channel congestion, roaming behavior, DNS, proxy state, and connectivity problems is scattered across different system tools.

WiFi Lens was built as an independent, native macOS project to bring those signals together in one place and make them easier to understand. It later grew into both an open-source edition and a Pro edition with history, statistics, insights, and additional monitoring tools.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

WiFi Lens's answer:

Swift, SwiftUI, CoreWLAN, Network framework, SQLite, and native macOS system APIs.
