Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Codegres.org and Sauce Mastering AI.

What makes your product unique?

Sauce Mastering AI's answer:

Sauce Mastering AI runs on real signal processing (DSP), not a generic AI-API call, so there is no per-master AI cost. That lets it stay far more affordable than tools like Waves or eMastered while still adapting the master to each track. It is also more than a mastering button: one platform covers AI mastering, mix improvement, reference matching, stem separation, vocal removal, vocal polish, audio repair, and song-to-MIDI. It is tuned for modern genres (trap, drill, amapiano, afro, phonk, Arabic urban and more), and your first master is free.

What's the story behind your product?

Sauce Mastering AI's answer:

Sauce Mastering AI was built by the team behind Producersources, a commercial audio-plugin company. They kept seeing the same problem: quality mastering was too expensive and too slow for independent producers in modern genres, and most online tools either sounded generic or cost too much. So they built their own real-DSP mastering engine - actual audio science, not an LLM - that adapts to each track and hits streaming loudness automatically, then wrapped a full producer toolkit around it and priced it for people who release music every week.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Sauce Mastering AI's answer:

Real DSP built in Python (numpy, scipy) with ffmpeg for audio processing; a FastAPI backend and a Next.js / React front end. Stem separation and vocal isolation run on a Demucs GPU worker (RunPod); song-to-MIDI uses Spotify's Basic Pitch. Payments via Stripe and PayPal, hosted on DigitalOcean behind Cloudflare.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Sauce Mastering AI's answer:

Three reasons: price, breadth, and honesty. Because the engine is own-built DSP with no per-use AI cost, Sauce undercuts LANDR, eMastered and Waves Online while delivering loud, true-peak-safe, streaming-ready masters. It is a full production toolkit, not a single feature - mastering plus stems, vocal tools, audio repair and song-to-MIDI in one place. And it is built by producers for modern genres, with a free first master so you can judge the result on your own track before paying. No fake "unlimited", and one-time credits never expire.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Sauce Mastering AI's answer:

Independent music producers and artists making modern genres - trap, drill, rage, amapiano, afrobeats, phonk, Jersey club, pluggnb, reggaeton, Arabic urban, plus pop, R&B and electronic. Typically bedroom and home-studio producers who want release-ready, streaming-safe masters quickly and affordably, without hiring an engineer or learning a full mastering chain.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Sauce Mastering AI's answer:

Don Bigg, LBandy
