I'm a new coder too. What helps me is finding a good place to learn the most basic principles and having 2-5 things I want to do. Python is a great language to start as a beginner! I don't know how new you are but a good place to learn some basics is codedex.io (also where I started from zero, 6 months ago haha). Source: over 3 years ago
You should start from the basics with a platform like codedex.io they do Python! It was straightforward to use for me (I'm 32). Give them a try. I am still a beginner, but I was starting from zero. Source: over 3 years ago
