Codecademy teaches. LeetCode tests. CodecityApp builds habit. The city-building mechanic creates intrinsic motivation — your skyline grows as your skills grow. Free forever with no meaningful limits, plus an AI mentor included. Competitors charge $20-40/month for less engagement.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

CodecityApp's answer

Self-taught developers and CS students who struggle to stay consistent with coding practice. Also bootcamp students who need structured challenge-based learning, and universities looking for supplementary practice tools for their CS programs.

What's the story behind your product?

CodecityApp's answer

Built by Michael Clarke, a 50-year-old solo founder and ex-enterprise architect who got tired of boring coding practice. Every existing platform felt like homework. He built CodecityApp to make daily practice feel like progress — city-building as the metaphor for skill-building. Week 9 of launch, pre-revenue, building in public.

React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Supabase (backend + auth), Anthropic API (Claude powers ARIA), Judge0 (code execution), Lovable (frontend development), EAS Build (mobile).
