The Ultimate Instant DOS/DDOS Protection At The Edge (for Windows). Stop and prevent DOS/DDOS attacks at the edge with Blackmirror Firewall, by using Cloudflare and Windows Firewall at your perimeter, stopping DOS/DDOS attacks in real-time.

As IT professionals, it can be a little bit of fun to fend off DOS/DDOS attacks (at the beginning), but only because we love a good challenge. This of course can get tiresome quickly when you're busy trying to work on and do other things.

Luckily for you, we at Blackmirror Firewall - Cybersecurity have developed a streamlined solution to help you stay protected by hardening your environment and infrastructure, but we couldn't do it without our attackers, so we (in a strange anonymous way) thank them for helping us develop and refine our products/services. Through our developments, we have put together some tutorials for you to help you harden your server(s).

Be vigilant and pro-active, stay safe and enjoy!

While scalable, large enterprise deployments may require significant time and expertise to set up and manage effectively.

Possible disadvantages of Blackmirror Firewall

  • Limited Public Information
Blackmirror Firewall is a relatively niche product with limited publicly available reviews and independent audits, making it difficult to fully assess its effectiveness and reliability.
  • Potential Over-Blocking
As with many firewall and ad-blocking solutions, there is a risk of false positives where legitimate websites or services may be inadvertently blocked, causing inconvenience to users.
  • Limited Feature Set Compared to Competitors
Compared to more established firewall and privacy solutions like Pi-hole or pfSense, Blackmirror Firewall may offer a more limited set of advanced features and integrations.
  • Dependency on External Service
Relying on a third-party firewall service means users are placing trust in the provider to handle their DNS queries and network traffic responsibly, which introduces a potential single point of failure.
  • Unclear Long-Term Support
As a smaller or less well-known product, there may be concerns about the long-term viability of the project, ongoing updates, and sustained developer support over time.

Code42 mentions (1)

  • Looking for the best cloud backup for all my files
It's not a big surprise, given that Code42 (the parent company) pretends they have nothing to do with Crashplan. They've done a massive pivot to some kind of security company, with ZERO references to the OG product of Crashplan on code42.com, which (I'm guessing) is the bulk of their revenue. If you do a site search on google, you'll find some old links, but they just push you over to crashplan.com. Source: about 4 years ago
