Zemam (ุฒู ุงู ) is an Arabic-first cloud ERP built for small and medium businesses in Egypt and the wider MENA region. Developed by Smartly Coded, a Cairo-based software company, Zemam is designed right-to-left from the ground up โ not a foreign system translated into Arabic โ so Arabic-speaking teams adopt it quickly.
At its core, Zemam runs on IFRS-compliant double-entry accounting where every balance is derived from immutable transactions. Your financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, trial balance, cash flow) are always accurate and traceable. It includes native support for Egyptian VAT (calculated after discount) and ETA e-invoicing.
Zemam unifies your whole operation in one connected platform:
โข Accounting & finance โ general ledger, chart of accounts, multi-currency (IAS 21) โข Inventory โ WAC/FIFO costing, batch & expiry tracking (FEFO), multi-warehouse, multi-unit โข Sales & purchasing โ quotes, invoices, returns, credit control with AR aging โข Point of sale โ retail & restaurant modes, works offline and syncs automatically โข Treasury โ full cheque lifecycle, installments, customer loyalty โข CRM โ leads, opportunities, and customer management โข HR & payroll โ with location-based employee check-in โข Fixed assets & depreciation โข Light manufacturing โ bills of materials and work orders
Because everything is transaction-driven and connected, a single sale automatically updates your inventory, your accounts, and the customer balance โ no double entry, no reconciling separate tools.
Zemam also offers a mobile app, a public API with webhooks for integrations, and a read-only AI connector that lets you query your books through AI assistants. Available in Arabic and English, with modular pricing so you pay only for the features you use.

Zemam's answer:
Zemam is built Arabic-first (right-to-left) from the ground up โ not a foreign system translated into Arabic. It runs on true double-entry, IFRS-compliant accounting where every balance is derived from an immutable ledger, so your financials are always accurate and traceable. It ships with native Egyptian VAT (calculated after discount) and ETA e-invoicing, and unifies accounting, inventory, sales, an offline-capable POS, and HR/payroll in one connected system โ so a single sale updates your books, stock, and customer balance automatically.
Zemam's answer:
Most options force a trade-off: foreign ERPs (Odoo, Zoho, QuickBooks) are powerful but not built for Arabic or Egyptian compliance, while simple invoicing apps aren't real accounting. Zemam gives you both โ Arabic-first design, native Egyptian VAT and ETA e-invoicing out of the box, and a real general-ledger accounting engine โ with inventory, POS, HR, and CRM connected in one platform instead of stitched-together tools. Its POS works offline, and modular pricing lets you pay only for the features you use.
Zemam's answer:
Small and medium businesses in Egypt and the wider MENA region โ including retail shops, wholesale and distribution, restaurants and cafรฉs, light manufacturing, and multi-branch operations. It's designed for owners who need Arabic-first software that handles local tax compliance (VAT, ETA) and connects their whole operation, without needing an accountant to stitch reports together.
Zemam's answer:
Zemam was created by Smartly Coded, a Cairo-based software company. It was born from a clear gap: businesses in Egypt and MENA had to choose between foreign ERPs that don't fit Arabic or local compliance, and basic invoicing apps that can't produce real financial statements. Zemam was built Arabic-first, with Egyptian compliance (VAT, ETA) and a proper accounting engine at its core โ a real operating system for the region's small and medium businesses.
We use Zemam to manage accounting, inventory, sales, purchasing, HR and POS. It helped us organize our daily work and reduced manual tasks. The reports are clear and make it easier to follow the business. It took some time to learn at first, but after that the system became easy to use.
