We started looking around for somewhere that had good tutorials he could follow and found CodaKid. All he needed was some help with his environment and he was off. Use this: https://danpla.github.io/dpscreenocr/ I set it on Ctrl+Q shortcut. It takes screenshot and transcribe text from the image. The text is automatically copied to clipboard for you.
