clumsyBased on our record, Google Cloud Functions should be more popular than clumsy. It has been mentiond 52 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
What I really want is the Windows tool for that. Can't call it equivalent, because clunsy is way superior. https://jagt.github.io/clumsy/index.html. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
I imagine there are tools that will artificially slow down requests. The lazy way would be to VPN somewhere as far away as possible and throttle your bandwidth. That would get you 250ms of round trip latency for free. In Antarctica we had up to 3000ms on a bad day. This app looks fun: https://jagt.github.io/clumsy/index.html (randomly interferes with your packets). - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
I have used little program called clumsy: https://jagt.github.io/clumsy/index.html. Source: about 3 years ago
You could install 100ms of lag using a tool like clumsy to test it out: https://jagt.github.io/clumsy/index.html. Source: over 3 years ago
I Google for โhow to emulate network latencyโ and found this on Stack Overflow. Source: almost 4 years ago
If this sounds like Cloud Functions, here's the history. Cloud Functions 1st gen ran on older, separate infrastructure with strict limits: 9-minute timeouts, one request per instance, no concurrency. Cloud Functions 2nd gen (GA in 2022) was already built on top of Cloud Run under the hood, which unlocked 60-minute timeouts and multi-request concurrency. In 2024, Google made it official and rebranded 2nd gen as... - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
Cloud Functions (GCF) -- originally serverless functions to compete with AWS Lambda; latest generation rebranded as Cloud Run Functions. - Source: dev.to / 9 months ago
Of course, I can't just directly give my static website permissions to modify my databases, which is why I created a Cloud Function as a "middle-man" -- we should always assume there will be malicious actors that will cause irreparable damage if they have direct access to a database (I don't want to get charged by Google Cloud hehe). - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
Itโs a lightweight GitHub App built with Probot and deployed serverlessly on GCF. Here's what it does:. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
Serverless architectures are revolutionizing software development by removing the need for server management. Cloud services like AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, and Azure Functions allow developers to concentrate on writing code, as these platforms handle scaling automatically. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
NetworkTests - Measure packet loss, latency, jitter, and hop-by-hop performance with real network diagnostics, DNS leak, VPN detection & more โ delivered directly from your browser.
Google App Engine - A powerful platform to build web and mobile apps that scale automatically.
FreeBSD Jails - Jails on the other hand permit software packages to view the system egoistically, as if each package had the machine to itself.
Salesforce Platform - Salesforce Platform is a comprehensive PaaS solution that paves the way for the developers to test, build, and mitigate the issues in the cloud application before the final deployment.
Medium - Welcome to Medium, a place to read, write, and interact with the stories that matter most to you.
AWS Lambda - Automatic, event-driven compute service
