What Yven does

Yven tracks everything that lives behind a client's website โ€” domain, DNS, hosting, SSL cert, email, subscriptions โ€” and maps it to the client it belongs to. When something needs attention, you find out who owns it and who pays for it in a search, instead of digging through old invoices or half a dozen registrar logins.

Most freelancers already have this information. It's just scattered across a spreadsheet, a password manager, and a few old emails. Yven doesn't replace your password manager or your registrar โ€” logins point to wherever you already keep them (1Password, Bitwarden, etc). It just tracks what exists and who's responsible for it.

Renewals

Every domain, cert, and subscription has a date attached. Yven sends one daily digest sorted by urgency instead of a separate alert per item, and flags things on auto-renew so you find out before they bill, not after.

Logging work

A work ledger for billable time and one-off requests. Press a shortcut, type what you did, it's logged in under 30 seconds. Small requests and full projects sit in the same list, hourly or fixed fee, and batch into an invoice later โ€” built-in, or pushed to QuickBooks/FreshBooks.

Getting data in

Import an existing spreadsheet on day one. Column mapping handles the setup instead of re-entering everything by hand.

Who it's for

Solo devs and small shops managing more than a couple client sites, especially across different registrars and hosts.

Status

Open for signup. 14-day trial, spreadsheet import on day one.

Yven.ca features and specs

  • One search, not one hour.
When a client site goes down, the clock starts. The answers are usually scattered across email, old invoices, and three different dashboards. Yven maps every domain, DNS record, hosting account, SSL certificate, email, and subscription to the client it belongs to, so you can see who controls each one and who pays for it at a glance. Logins point to your password manager, never stored in the app. So โ€œwhere does this even live?โ€ is a five-second search, not one hour of digging.
  • Capture the small stuff before it slips.
"Can you just swap this image?" That drip of tiny requests is where small and solo web shops quietly lose money. Press W anywhere in Yven and it's logged in under thirty seconds, faster than writing yourself a note. Micro-tasks and full projects, hourly or fixed-fee, sit side by side in the same ledger, ready to batch into one invoice. QuickBooks and FreshBooks push-through is coming soon; built-in invoicing works today.
  • Nothing lapses on your watch.
Every domain, certificate, and subscription carries a date. Yven watches all of them and sends one morning digest, sorted by urgency, instead of a flood of separate alerts. Each item shows who pays: you, rebilled to the client, or billed direct. Even the ones on auto-renew still surface before they bill, so nothing charges quietly without you knowing.
