ClearWork is in the Transformation Management space, which is an evolution of the traditional Business Process Management category. We use AI to automatically discover and map a company's true end-to-end processes, model and plan an optimized future state, and then drive real adoption and automation.

What we do:

  1. While traditional methods require manual workshops and guesswork to populate a static process map, we automatically discover and map a company's true end-to-end processes by analyzing real user activity—and we do it without the technically intensive effort of process mining. This gives them an objective view of their current state and identifies friction points with precision.

  2. We then use AI to help you model and plan an optimized future state that's grounded in the reality of your operations and the technology you're deploying. This creates the ideal process, reducing missed requirements and rework.

  3. Finally, we go beyond planning by driving real adoption with an AI co-pilot grounded in your operational data and orchestrating automated, cross-platform workflows, ensuring the new processes are executed and sustained.

Every technology project starts with gathering an understanding of how work is done today in order to properly plan for what is to come. Why would you approach a transformative technology program using traditional, manual, error prone methods to one of the most critical aspects of any project - preparation.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing ClearWork and QPR ProcessAnalyzer.

What makes your product unique?

ClearWork's answer

What makes ClearWork unique is how it bridges the gap between how work is supposed to happen and how it actually happens—then uses that understanding to drive smarter, faster transformation.

Here’s what sets us apart:

🧠 From Discovery to Design—Automatically Most tools stop at mapping the current state. ClearWork goes further. We capture real user activity, identify friction points, and use AI to help you plan your future state based on how your business truly operates today—not theoretical workflows.

💰 No More $250/Hour Observers We replace expensive consultants watching people do their jobs with lightweight, real-time insights from actual user behavior—saving companies hundreds of thousands of dollars.

⚡ Fast, Frictionless Deployment Unlike traditional process mining tools that require deep system integration and months of setup, ClearWork is fast to deploy and easy to use. One-click session tracking means you can start capturing insights in minutes—not months.

🤖 AI That Understands Workflows Our AI doesn’t just analyze; it interprets, suggests, and helps plan. From summarizing process gaps to recommending changes, it’s like having a digital transformation co-pilot.

🔄 Continuous Improvement Built-In Transformation isn’t a one-time event—it’s ongoing. ClearWork helps teams monitor processes over time, refine improvements, and ensure lasting impact.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

ClearWork's answer

We solve the entire transformation problem—not just a slice of it.

Here’s the real difference:

🔍 Most tools stop at discovery—we go all the way to delivery. Competitors either rely on outdated manual process mapping or require heavy technical setup for process mining. ClearWork captures real user activity with a simple browser-based tracker, identifies bottlenecks, and then uses AI to help you plan your future-state workflows. It’s transformation intelligence from start to finish.

💡 No guesswork, no consultants, no delays. Instead of paying $250/hr for someone to ask your employees what they do, ClearWork captures it directly—saving you time, money, and inaccuracies.

⚙️ Fast setup, real insights—without the IT headache. Where competitors can take months to implement, ClearWork is ready to run in days. No deep integrations. Just insights—fast.

🤖 AI that does more than just summarize. While some tools offer dashboards, ClearWork’s AI interprets behavior, highlights inefficiencies, and actively helps you design and test better workflows. It's like going from a static map to a GPS that reroutes in real time.

🛡️ Built for transformation leaders, not just analysts. ClearWork is designed for CIOs, PMO leads, and transformation teams who need clarity and momentum—not another dashboard or data dump.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

ClearWork's answer

ClearWork’s primary audience is enterprise transformation leaders who are responsible for planning, managing, and delivering operational change across large organizations.

This includes:

👨‍💼 CIOs & IT Leaders Own digital transformation initiatives and need real visibility into how technology is actually being used before replacing or optimizing it.

📊 PMO Directors & Program Managers Tasked with delivering transformation programs on time and on budget—ClearWork helps them reduce rework and improve planning by grounding decisions in real user behavior.

🔄 Business Process Owners & Ops Leaders Focused on improving efficiency, reducing cost, and modernizing outdated workflows. They use ClearWork to identify friction, streamline processes, and validate changes.

💼 Consulting-Lite Internal Strategy Teams Innovation, strategy, or transformation teams who act like internal consultants but want to avoid the time and cost of manual process discovery.

Common across all of them? They’re tired of flying blind. They know that understanding how work actually gets done is critical—but the old ways (manual mapping, interviews, or legacy mining tools) just don’t cut it anymore. ClearWork gives them a better way.

What's the story behind your product?

ClearWork's answer

ClearWork started with firsthand frustration.

After years working at a large tech company, I saw the same pattern over and over: ambitious transformation projects that looked great on paper but fell apart in execution. Why? Because no one really understood how work got done in the first place.

We’d spend months planning, only to miss key requirements, run into constant rework, and waste time and money fixing issues that could’ve been avoided with better visibility upfront. Process discovery was either painfully manual or buried in technical complexity—and by the time we figured out the “current state,” the business had already moved on.

ClearWork was born out of a simple idea: there has to be a better way. So we built a platform that shows how work actually happens, surfaces friction, and uses AI to plan what comes next—with clarity, not guesswork.
