Ckord was born from a simple yet powerful idea: music is meant to connect people, not be buried beneath layers of algorithms and noise. It all started when our founder, Darko attended a local gig in a small bar in New York City. As he watched the band play, he noticed how passionate the musicians were and how deeply connected the audience seemed to be. But in the back of his mind, he couldn't help but wonder why were these incredible artists playing in relative obscurity, while many people outside that bar had no idea such talent even existed?
Driven by this realization, Darko invited Serge to help him โ and two of them began to speak with other artists, music lovers, and industry professionals, and a pattern emerged: there was a lack of accessible platforms dedicated to promoting lesser-known yet incredibly talented musicians. The big names were easy to find, but independent artists and unique voices were often lost. So, Ckord was created a platform focused on giving emerging artists the spotlight they deserved and making music discovery more personal, meaningful, and human.
We want every user to experience the excitement of finding that one song, band, or artist that speaks to themโbecause we believe that music is meant to inspire, create connections, and break down barriers. And for us, that mission is what makes every challenge worthwhile.
