How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Chefdesk's answer

Restaurant owners and operators of independent restaurants, cafés, QSRs, bars, cloud kitchens, and growing multi-outlet businesses.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Chefdesk's answer

JavaFX, Springboot, AWS, Kubernetes, Gitlab, Postgres

What's the story behind your product?

Chefdesk's answer

Before building Chefdesk as a product, we spent years designing and implementing custom technology solutions for large enterprises and multi-chain restaurant groups.

We’ve taken that experience — the workflows, operational insights, integrations, and lessons learned from complex restaurant businesses — and built Chefdesk to bring the same level of sophistication to independent restaurants and growing businesses. Our goal is simple: give smaller restaurants the technology and operational capabilities that were once accessible mainly to large chains.

What makes your product unique?

Chefdesk's answer

Chefdesk brings enterprise-grade restaurant operations to businesses of every size. Built from years of experience implementing custom solutions for large, multi-chain restaurant groups, Chefdesk combines front-office, kitchen, inventory, purchasing, reservations, back-office operations and integrations in one connected platform.

Instead of forcing smaller restaurants to piece together multiple systems, Chefdesk gives them the sophisticated workflows, controls and operational visibility typically available only to larger chains — without the complexity and cost of enterprise software.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Chefdesk's answer

With Chefdesk, you can start small and grow without outgrowing your technology. The same platform supports independent single-outlet restaurants as well as large, multi-location enterprises. As your business grows, you can expand outlets, users, workflows, integrations and capabilities without having to migrate to a different restaurant management system.
