Every couple of years, I have to do background checks on everyone that I am working with for a contract. We usually use CheckR (they were Goodhire until they were bought out). I got a call from a recruiter, and it's military top secret stuff. backgroundchecks.com says they interview your spouse, family, educators, previous employers, etc. I do not have a good relationship with my previous employers.
