Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Cert Decoder and Axonix Tools.

What's the story behind your product?

Cert Decoder's answer

I built certdecoder.com over the weekend for my own needs. Sometimes in my work, I need to verify and check certificate details.

Axonix Tools's answer:

Axonix Tools started as a personal side project. I needed reliable online tools and couldn’t find ones that were both simple and privacy-friendly. So I began building my own. Over time, more tools were added, based on real needs and feedback.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Cert Decoder's answer

certdecoder.com was built using just JavaScript and HTML—simple, fast, and with all processing happening locally in your browser, so no certificate data is sent to any server

Axonix Tools's answer:

Axonix Tools is built using Next.js as the core framework, along with modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Next.js helps keep the platform fast, SEO-friendly, and scalable. Most tools are designed to run efficiently in the browser to ensure quick performance and better user privacy, while keeping the overall stack clean and lightweight.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Cert Decoder's answer

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Cert Decoder's answer

Simple, fast, and reliable. Some similar tools can’t even decode basic certificates. I rigorously tested my tool with many real-world certificates and covered several edge cases where competitors fall short.

Axonix Tools's answer:

Many similar tools either limit features, show ads everywhere, or require signups for basic usage. Axonix Tools avoids all of that. You can open a tool, use it instantly, and leave without friction. It’s designed for people who value speed, simplicity, and transparency.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Cert Decoder's answer
