Most OKR platforms were built for hundreds of people and priced per seat. A team of twelve ends up paying for a rollout it will never run and meeting forms it will never fill in. It carries the whole ladder, from mission, vision and one dated number down to this quarter's key results and the score at the end. Most tools start at the quarter and leave the direction to a slide deck nobody opens again.

And it is priced by team size, not per seat: free forever for one person with every feature unlocked, then one flat price for the whole team. Inviting a colleague never costs more mid-quarter, which is exactly the moment most teams quietly stop inviting people.

The person setting it up is usually a founder or an operations lead who also does the work, with no planning department behind them. They arrive with one of two problems: goals written once and never opened again, or everybody busy while nothing finishes.

It works for one person too. The solo plan is free forever with every feature, and many people run their own quarter in it before bringing anyone else in.

Celorly started from a pattern that is easy to see in small companies and hard to fix: goals get written down in January, and nobody opens the file again until someone asks in December what happened.

Most tools answer that with more process. They were designed for organizations that have a planning function, so when a twelve-person company adopts one it inherits the weight without the benefit.

The brief was therefore narrow on purpose: carry the whole ladder from company direction down to a scored quarter, do that one job, and make it something a small team can run in an afternoon without a consultant. Anything that did not earn its place is not in the product.

The free course came from the same conviction. If a method only works when you buy someone's software, it is not a method. From Zero to Goals teaches it with a spreadsheet and a calendar, and the tool is optional.
