Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Cavuno and Hypervector.

What makes your product unique?

Cavuno's answer

We built AI into every layer of the product, not as an add-on. Our search understands meaning, so "Ruby developer" surfaces "Rails engineer" jobs. Listings get auto-tagged with skills, seniority, and categories the moment they come in. Company profiles fill themselves in with logos, descriptions, and social links. And we include job aggregation on every plan with no per-job fees, so a new board can go live with thousands of relevant listings right away

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Cavuno's answer

Price, AI, and aggregation. Competitors like JBoard, Jobboardly, and Kardow charge per-job credits for aggregation. We start at $29/mo and include AI-powered search, auto-tagging, company enrichment, and aggregation on every plan. We also auto-generate thousands of SEO landing pages for category and location combinations. No revenue share, so you keep everything you earn.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Cavuno's answer

People launching niche job boards. That's typically solo entrepreneurs building industry-specific boards, professional associations adding jobs as a member benefit, VC firms connecting portfolio companies with talent, staffing agencies, universities, and publishers turning their audience into a revenue channel. No coding required.

What's the story behind your product?

Cavuno's answer

We built Himalayas from scratch. It grew into one of the world's largest remote job boards, used by millions of people a year. We also ran niche boards like Venture Capital Careers on off-the-shelf software, but nothing was fast, beautiful, or built with AI at its core. So we started Cavuno. Our belief: the world would be better with thousands of niche job boards, each run by people who know their industry and care about their community, instead of everyone fighting for visibility on LinkedIn and Indeed. We want to be the infrastructure that makes that possible.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Cavuno's answer

Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, PostgreSQL via Supabase (database, auth, storage), Qdrant vector database and Voyage AI embeddings for semantic search, Stripe for payments, Vercel for hosting.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Cavuno's answer

  • Venture Capital Careers (venturecapitalcareers.com)
  • Aviation Careers (aviationcareers.com.au)
  • Robotics Engineer Jobs (roboticsengineerjobs.com)
  • Inference Jobs (inferencejobs.com)
  • Cybersecurity Jobs List (cybersecurityjobslist.com)
