Meridian Path is a goal-based life planning app built for people with a specific goal and a real deadline โ€” whether that's moving to a new city, paying off debt, rebuilding credit, or saving toward a major life change.

You enter your goal, your deadline, and your current financial situation. Meridian Path calculates your Gap Number โ€” the exact dollar amount you need per month to hit your goal on time โ€” and builds a personalized phase-by-phase roadmap to close it.

Every feature in the app serves that single goal. Nothing is generic. Everything is deadline-driven.

Core features include a 3-phase roadmap with milestones and target dates, a financial tracker for income and expenses, a credit rebuilding center with utilization tracker and step-by-step checklist, weekly AI-powered check-ins with personalized coaching, and an accountability system with streak tracking and milestone badges.

Premium unlocks unlimited AI check-ins with memory across sessions, multi-goal mode, a scenario planner for what-if simulations, a relocation toolkit with cost-of-living comparison and move budget estimator, and PDF roadmap export.

Free to start. No credit card required.

CashCommit features and specs

  • Financial Accountability
CashCommit helps users stay accountable to their financial goals by requiring a monetary commitment, which creates a stronger incentive to follow through on savings or spending targets.
  • Behavioral Motivation
By leveraging the psychological principle of loss aversion, CashCommit motivates users to stick to their financial commitments since they risk losing money if they don't follow through.
  • Goal-Oriented Approach
The platform encourages users to set specific, measurable financial goals, which can help improve financial discipline and planning habits over time.
  • Simple Concept
The core idea behind CashCommit is straightforward and easy to understand โ€” commit money to a goal and lose it if you fail โ€” making it accessible to a wide range of users.
  • Accountability Partners
The platform may allow users to involve friends or accountability partners in their financial commitments, adding a social motivation layer that can further encourage goal completion.

Possible disadvantages of CashCommit

  • Risk of Losing Money
Users stand to lose their committed funds if they fail to meet their goals, which could be financially harmful, especially for those already struggling with money management.
  • Limited Awareness
CashCommit is a relatively niche platform that may not be widely known or reviewed, making it harder for potential users to find trusted feedback or community support.
  • Stress and Pressure
The financial penalty model can create anxiety and stress, which may be counterproductive for some users who don't respond well to punishment-based motivation systems.
  • Not Suitable for Everyone
People with irregular incomes, financial hardships, or those prone to gambling-like behaviors may find the commitment model risky or inappropriate for their financial situation.
  • Unclear Dispute Resolution
As a smaller platform, there may be limited transparency around what happens in edge cases โ€” such as technical errors, disputes, or extenuating circumstances that prevent goal completion โ€” leaving users potentially without recourse.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing CashCommit and MeridianPath.app.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

MeridianPath.app's answer:

Built on Base44, with the Anthropic API powering the AI weekly check-in and session memory features.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

MeridianPath.app's answer:

Most tools in this space are built for people with steady paychecks and predictable schedules. Meridian Path was built by someone living the opposite โ€” so it's designed specifically to make progress feel real and visible even when the numbers bounce around month to month. Beyond that, the premium feature set goes deeper than most competitors at any price point: scenario planning, relocation tools, AI memory, multi-goal tracking, and PDF exports โ€” all for $9/month.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

MeridianPath.app's answer:

Anyone working toward a specific, meaningful life goal with a real deadline โ€” a relocation, debt payoff, career change, or major purchase. Meridian Path is especially suited for people juggling multiple income streams or irregular schedules where traditional budgeting apps fall short. Whether you're in the early stages of planning or actively tracking progress week to week, Meridian Path gives you the structure, financial clarity, and accountability tools to actually get there.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

MeridianPath.app's answer:

MeridianPath is in early access โ€” we're not sharing customer details publicly yet.

What makes your product unique?

MeridianPath.app's answer:

Most planning and budgeting apps treat your goals and day-to-day finances as separate things. Meridian Path connects them directly โ€” you set a goal with a real target date, and every bit of progress shows you exactly how that goal is tracking, even when your income is irregular. Premium users get a full suite of tools built around that goal: a Scenario Planner to run "what if" financial projections, a Relocation Toolkit with cost of living comparison and moving cost estimator, multi-goal mode, PDF roadmap export, and AI check-ins with memory across sessions that get smarter over time.

What's the story behind your product?

MeridianPath.app's answer:

I got tired of juggling separate apps for budgeting, habits, debt payoff, and long-term goals with nothing connecting them to the bigger picture. I needed everything under one umbrella โ€” a single place that tied my day-to-day financial decisions directly to a specific goal with a real target date. So I built MeridianPath myself, nights and weekends around my day job, to simplify and streamline all of it into one system. Once it started working for me, I realized it could work for anyone working toward something big โ€” and that became the real motivation: building a tool that helps others turn their goals from distant ideas into an actual plan they can follow and track every single day.
