    Artcam got discontinued a while ago but the original team rebranded it asCarveco. As I understand it, most of the original functionality is the same and you have a decent chance of finding people to help with the transition back and forth. Source: over 3 years ago

    Personally I would start with the flip technique using something like Carveco or fusion 360. Any machine would be able to do this fine, just pick one that is suitably sized. Shapeoko is very beginner friendly and generally nice to use. Source: about 5 years ago
