CapitalCalcs is a free hub of 20+ financial calculators for everyday money decisions โ mortgages, auto and student loans, credit card and debt payoff, retirement and 401(k), high-yield savings, annuities, home affordability, and rent vs. buy โ plus a crypto suite with live prices, a portfolio tracker, and DCA, profit, and staking calculators.
Every calculator runs instantly in the browser, shows the full breakdown with charts and amortization schedules (not just a single number), and links to a plain-English guide. There's no sign-up and no paywall, the methodology behind every formula is published, and your data is never sold. An optional free account lets you save scenarios and track goals.
It's built for people who want to understand the numbers themselves โ for free and in private โ before talking to a lender, bank, or advisor. CapitalCalcs provides educational estimates, not financial advice.

Genuinely free, with no catch No sign-up, no paywall, no ad-stuffing, and your data is never sold. Most "free" calculators are lead-gen funnels built to harvest you for lenders, or freemium tools that gate the good parts. CapitalCalcs has nothing to hide behind the curtain โ and that's its sharpest, most defensible edge, especially against the paywalled "CapitalCalc" competitor and the data-hungry big players.
It shows the math, not just a number Most calculators are a black box: you get a figure, no explanation. CapitalCalcs shows the full breakdown, charts, AND a plain-English guide for each tool, plus a public methodology page. The mission isn't "here's your number" โ it's "here's how it works so you understand it."
Broad and deep, including crypto A true hub โ 20+ calculators across mortgages, loans, retirement, savings, debt โ each genuinely deep (PITI + PMI, amortization, extra-payment savings), not shallow filler. And it spans traditional finance and crypto (DCA, staking, portfolio, profit) in one place, which almost no one else does. Most sites are broad-but-shallow, deep-but-narrow, or finance-OR-crypto.
A real, transparent human behind it A named operator (you / CapitalCalcs LLC), "reviewed by" bylines, visible methodology, and now an editorial design that reads like a credible publication โ not a faceless corporate tool or a generic AI-template site. That trust signal is rare in this space and is exactly what builds credibility (and SEO).
The honest bottom line Calculators are commoditized โ so the moat isn't a feature, it's integrity + breadth + trust. No single competitor combines all four: genuinely free, transparent/educational, broad-and-deep across traditional + crypto, and openly human-operated.

You're not the product The big finance sites and bank calculators are lead-gen machines โ they exist to harvest your info and funnel you to a lender, dressed up as a "free tool." CapitalCalcs has no agenda: no sign-up, no data selling, no one trying to sell you a loan. You run your numbers in private, and the tool works for you. For a money decision, that peace of mind matters.
You leave actually understanding your decision Most calculators hand you a number and a shrug. CapitalCalcs shows the math, the breakdown, the charts, and explains it in plain English โ so you walk into the lender, advisor, or bank meeting already knowing your numbers, instead of being talked at. You make a smarter decision because you understand it.
Everything in one place, instantly, for free Mortgage, loans, retirement, debt, savings, and crypto โ one clean, fast hub. No bouncing between sites, no paywall gating the useful parts, no ad clutter burying the answer, no account required. Zero cost, zero friction.
You can trust what it tells you Transparent methodology, cited sources (CFPB, IRS), and a real named person behind it โ not a faceless portal or an anonymous app. The numbers are honest estimates with the assumptions shown, framed as education, not a sales pitch.
The honest version of "why choose us" I won't pretend it's the right tool for everyone โ if you want live rate-shopping across 50 lenders or to actually apply for a product, a big portal does that. But:
Choose CapitalCalcs when you want to understand your money decision yourself โ quickly, privately, and for free โ before you talk to anyone who's trying to sell you something.
That's the person it's built for, and for that person, nothing else combines free + private + clear + trustworthy the way it does. The competitors can match one or two of those; they can't match all four without changing how they make money.

Self-directed, financially-engaged U.S. adults at a money-decision moment who want to understand the numbers themselves โ for free, in private, without being sold to โ before they commit or talk to a lender or advisor.
Picture a financially-curious, do-it-yourself adult at a real money crossroads who wants the truth of the numbers without a sales pitch. Serve that person well, and the demographics take care of themselves.
CapitalCalcs's answer
It starts with a builder, not a financier. Robert spent years in information technology inside the financial sector โ building and maintaining reliable systems, working closely with financial data. Not a stock-picker, not an advisor: a technologist with a builder's obsession for getting the numbers right and making them clear.
Like most people, he'd lived the money decisions himself โ financing his own cars and homes, squinting at confusing amortization schedules, getting blindsided by things like PMI. And every time he went looking for a straight answer to the simplest, most nervous question โ "what's this actually going to cost me?" โ he hit the same wall: the calculators were buried in ads or wrapped in advisor-speak, and too often the only way to get a real number was to hand over your phone number to a salesperson and wait for a callback.
That frustration is the seed. CapitalCalcs started as a fun side project โ but the deeper he dug, the more he cared. The idea crystallized into something simple and a little defiant: you deserve to run the real numbers yourself โ instantly, for free, before anyone has your contact details. So he set out to build the clean, honest, genuinely useful tools he wished he'd had.
What came out of it is deliberately independent: based in Georgia, not owned by or beholden to any lender, broker, or brokerage โ so the tools have no reason to steer your results. Standard, textbook math, documented methodology, transparent assumptions, no data-selling, no paywall. Education, not advice. The whole thing built on one belief: clear numbers, before the conversation.

It's free. Users don't pay, so there are no paying customers in the traditional sense.
It's ~3 weeks old and only just had its Product Hunt launch today (sitting at a few upvotes). The user base is anonymous consumers running calculators, and traffic is still in its earliest days.
So there are no named, notable, or "big" customers โ and there's no real data to point to one segment as your largest yet.
