Colbot is a general-purpose, AI-powered data extraction tool that turns unstructured documents into clean spreadsheet rows. Connect a Google Sheet and drop in PDFs, Word documents, Excel files, images or CSVs.

Colbot reads them, reasons over the content to derive the fields your sheet needs, and appends new rows automatically. It goes beyond plain format conversion: the AI infers values that aren't explicitly stated in the source.

Let rows write directly to your sheet, or turn on an optional review flow to approve extractions first, with every step auditable.

Colbot also supports team roles and permissions, and can be triggered via the web app or a Chrome browser extension (Colbot Web Clipper).

Where it fits best Market and competitive research. Pull names, prices, features, and contacts from rivals' pricing pages, supplier directories, and industry listings into one comparison table — a dozen competitors across dozens of pages, condensed in minutes.

Company info and contacts. Open company sites, yellow pages, and directory listings one by one; Colbot recognizes the page structure and extracts company name, description, address, phone, and email as rows — no more hand-copying to build a customer or supplier list.

Sales lead collection. Batch-capture companies and contacts from directories, event speaker pages, and member rosters straight into a lead list you can follow up on.

Product research and price comparison. Browse e-commerce listings and pull price, rating, sales, and stock into a table for side-by-side comparison — sourcing and price monitoring at a glance.

Research and content aggregation. Aggregate news lists, forum threads, rankings, and search results into a filterable, sortable table to feed your later analysis and reporting.

Whether the data is hundreds of rows in a list or single items spread across individual pages, Colbot recognizes and parses it — saving you the word-by-word copy-paste.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Canva and Colbot.

What makes your product unique?

Colbot's answer:

Colbot isn't just an OCR tool or a file converter — it reasons over the content with AI to derive fields that aren't spelled out in the source, then fits them to your existing spreadsheet.

  • Schema-aware, not template-locked — authorize a Google Sheet and Colbot reads your column headers to build a reusable parser. No per-document mapping rules to configure.
  • One pipeline, many inputs — drag in files (PDF, Word, Excel, images, CSV), capture web pages with the Chrome extension, or POST via API — everything flows through the same extract-and-append process.
  • Batch and parallel — drop a whole stack of mixed files at once; scanned PDFs and photos are read with OCR.
  • Human-in-the-loop, by choice — switch on an optional review step, with every extraction and write fully auditable.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Colbot's answer:

  • No per-layout templates — many extraction tools make you train a template for every document type. Colbot infers structure from your sheet's headers and adapts, so mixed and one-off documents just work.
  • It understands, not just transcribes — beyond copying visible text, the AI infers fields the source only implies, so you get spreadsheet-ready data instead of a raw dump.
  • Files and the web and API in one tool — no stitching together a scraper, an OCR service, and an automation app; Colbot captures from uploads, web pages, and API into Google Sheets through a single flow.
  • Built for teams, with a paper trail — roles, permissions, and an optional review step let people approve what the AI proposes, and every write is auditable.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Colbot's answer:

Colbot is for anyone who repeatedly types data into a spreadsheet by hand and wants that to stop.

  • Ops, finance & admin teams turning invoices, receipts, and PDF forms into structured rows.
  • Analysts & researchers consolidating data from mixed files, scanned documents, and web pages.
  • Sales & e-commerce pulling product listings, prices, and leads off the web with the Chrome extension.
  • Teams that live in Google Sheets and want AI and people to share the work, with roles and review.

It fits individuals and small-to-midsize teams best — pay-as-you-go pricing lets you start without an enterprise commitment, while roles and permissions scale as the team grows.

Powerful design platform with great usability

Canva is one of the most accessible design platforms available today. It significantly lowers the barrier to creating presentations, social graphics, marketing materials, and even short videos.

The interface is intuitive, especially for non-designers. Templates are well organized, and collaboration features make it practical for teams.

Strengths: - Very easy to use - Large template library - Strong collaboration tools - Fast cloud-based workflow

Limitations: - Advanced layout control is sometimes restricted - Heavier projects can feel limited compared to professional desktop tools

Overall, Canva succeeds at simplifying design for everyday creators while maintaining enough flexibility for professional use cases.

Easy and Versatile Design Tool — Great for Quick Projects

I’ve been using Canva for everything from social media graphics to presentations and simple flyers, and it’s one of the most accessible design tools I’ve encountered. The drag-and-drop interface makes it really easy to produce clean, visually appealing designs even if you don’t have a background in graphic design. The huge template and asset library means I rarely start from scratch.

It integrates well with cloud storage and collaborative editing, which makes working with team members or clients straightforward. For quick turnaround projects, Canva gets me from idea to finished design in minutes — no steep learning curve.

That said, some of the better assets and premium features (like certain templates, background removers, and export options) are locked behind Canva Pro, which adds ongoing cost. And while Canva is excellent for basic to intermediate design, it doesn’t replace professional tools like Adobe Illustrator or InDesign when you need fine-tuned control or advanced features.

Overall, Canva is a fantastic tool for fast, easy design work — especially for non-designers

Pros:    Extremely user-friendly drag-and-drop design interface.
Cons:    Ome useful features and assets are locked behind the pro plan.
