Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Canva and AskPaul.app.

What makes your product unique?

AskPaul.app's answer:

AskPaul generates presentations inside a company's own PowerPoint template. It ingests the existing .pptx (slide masters, layouts, fonts, colors and grids) and reuses it, so the generated decks match the corporate brand instead of a generic AI theme. The output is a native, fully editable .pptx file, and the whole service is hosted in the EU

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

AskPaul.app's answer:

Most AI presentation tools apply their own templates or a simplified brand kit, so teams still have to reformat everything by hand to match their company guidelines. AskPaul works the other way around: it reproduces your real company template faithfully and exports a native PowerPoint file you can keep editing. It is also European and GDPR-friendly, and it never uses your content to train models.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

AskPaul.app's answer:

AskPaul is built for B2B teams in companies that have a corporate template and brand guidelines: sales, finance, executive and general management, marketing, and consulting firms. It is most useful for mid-sized to large organisations that produce many on-brand decks such as sales pitches, board reviews, quarterly reporting and RFP responses.

What's the story behind your product?

AskPaul.app's answer:

AskPaul is built by Logitopia, a French company. It started from a simple observation: AI tools can write good slide content, but they ignore corporate brand guidelines, so teams still spend hours reformatting decks into their company template. AskPaul was created to close that gap and generate presentations directly inside the company's own template.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

AskPaul.app's answer:

AskPaul is a web application built with Next.js (React) and TypeScript, with Supabase (PostgreSQL, authentication and storage) on the backend. It uses large language models for content generation (with training opt-out), produces native .pptx files, and supports real-time collaborative editing. The service is hosted in the European Union.

Powerful design platform with great usability

Canva is one of the most accessible design platforms available today. It significantly lowers the barrier to creating presentations, social graphics, marketing materials, and even short videos.

The interface is intuitive, especially for non-designers. Templates are well organized, and collaboration features make it practical for teams.

Strengths: - Very easy to use - Large template library - Strong collaboration tools - Fast cloud-based workflow

Limitations: - Advanced layout control is sometimes restricted - Heavier projects can feel limited compared to professional desktop tools

Overall, Canva succeeds at simplifying design for everyday creators while maintaining enough flexibility for professional use cases.

Easy and Versatile Design Tool โ€” Great for Quick Projects

Iโ€™ve been using Canva for everything from social media graphics to presentations and simple flyers, and itโ€™s one of the most accessible design tools Iโ€™ve encountered. The drag-and-drop interface makes it really easy to produce clean, visually appealing designs even if you donโ€™t have a background in graphic design. The huge template and asset library means I rarely start from scratch.

It integrates well with cloud storage and collaborative editing, which makes working with team members or clients straightforward. For quick turnaround projects, Canva gets me from idea to finished design in minutes โ€” no steep learning curve.

That said, some of the better assets and premium features (like certain templates, background removers, and export options) are locked behind Canva Pro, which adds ongoing cost. And while Canva is excellent for basic to intermediate design, it doesnโ€™t replace professional tools like Adobe Illustrator or InDesign when you need fine-tuned control or advanced features.

Overall, Canva is a fantastic tool for fast, easy design work โ€” especially for non-designers

    ๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Extremely user-friendly drag-and-drop design interface.
๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    Ome useful features and assets are locked behind the pro plan.
