Scriptivox is an AI transcription platform that converts audio and video recordings into accurate, searchable text. It handles over 100 languages and dialects across more than 20 file formats, including MP3, WAV, FLAC, MP4, MOV and MKV, and returns transcripts with automatic speaker separation and word-level timestamps.

Alongside plain transcripts it generates SRT and VTT subtitle files that drop straight into video editors and players, with no separate export step or add-on charge. A meeting notetaker can join scheduled Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls to record and transcribe them automatically, then produce an AI summary. Transcripts can also be queried conversationally, which makes finding a specific passage in a long recording far quicker than scrubbing audio.

A REST API is available for developers who need transcription inside their own products, billed from the same account as the web app.

Built for podcasters, journalists, researchers, content creators and teams who need professional-grade transcripts without per-minute agency pricing. Free tier available, no credit card required.

Analysis of Busuu

Overall verdict

  • Busuu is generally well-regarded for its user-friendly interface, effective course structure, and community interaction, making it a good option for language learners. Why this product is good

  • Busuu is a popular language learning platform known for its interactive and comprehensive approach. It offers a wide range of languages, exercises to enhance listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, and a community feature that allows learners to practice with native speakers. • Individuals who benefit from social interaction and peer feedback.
  • Learners seeking a mobile-friendly option with offline capabilities.

Analysis of Scriptivox

Overall verdict

  • Scriptivox appears to be a niche text-to-speech/voiceover style tool, but there is very limited verifiable public information, reviews, or track record available about this specific product, making it hard to confirm its quality or reliability with confidence.

Why this product is good

  • Positioned as an affordable or accessible voiceover/TTS solution for content creators
  • May offer a simple interface for generating voice content without hiring voice actors
  • Could support quick turnaround for basic audio/video projects
  • Lacks widespread reviews or third-party validation, so claims of quality are unverified

Recommended for

  • Users seeking a low-cost, no-frills text-to-speech tool for casual projects
  • Content creators who need occasional voiceovers for videos or presentations
  • Those willing to test a lesser-known tool without strong community feedback or established reputation
  • Not recommended for mission-critical, professional-grade voiceover needs without first testing free trials or samples

  • Similar website as Lengalia for Italian?
When I was starting out I used a subscription to Busuu and thought it was pretty good. They had listening exercises, vocab exercises, grammar/conjugation, and test exams. There's also a community feature where native speakers can correct some of the exercises you do (and vice versa). Source: almost 4 years ago
  • 30F Looking for a language partner to practice basic French. I can help with Portuguese (BR)
I have been studying French for a few years (I still don't feel I would be very beneficial to you unfortunately, however) and a good place to look for language partners that I have found is busuu.com . A big section of it is connection to others learning your native language that speak your learning language. Just fyi if you want that info. (: Good luck!! Source: about 4 years ago
  • Duolingo is overrated
Then I've tried Busuu premium, which is considerably better than Duolingo - at the very least tries to teach you grammar, and the video contents are really well produced. For an absolute beginner it is great! Source: about 4 years ago
