BURSU Connection Manager (BURSUcm) is a free, cross-platform connection manager that keeps every server, credential and teammate in one fast, modern workspace.
SSH, RDP, VNC, Telnet, Serial, Web, FTP and SFTP all open in tabs. RDP and VNC run inside a tab through our own built-in engines โ RDP with H.264 graphics, remote audio and multi-monitor support, VNC with TLS/VeNCrypt encryption, scaling and a view-only mode. The embedded terminal has full ANSI/TUI support, colour schemes and custom fonts, with split view for two sessions at once.
Credentials live in a vault encrypted with AES-256-GCM; your master password never leaves your device. Two-factor (TOTP) codes are stored next to the login they belong to and copied as a live 6-digit code in one click. Optional BURSUcloud sync is fully zero-knowledge โ the server only ever stores ciphertext, so even a full server compromise never exposes your passwords.
Runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. Free. Available in English, Russian, Ukrainian and Georgian.

Code FlexBURSUcm's answer
BURSUcm is a free, cross-platform connection manager that combines things usually split across separate tools: SSH, RDP, VNC, Telnet, Serial, Web, FTP and SFTP all live in one tabbed workspace, with its own built-in RDP and VNC engines that render the remote desktop right inside a tab โ no external client required. Its optional cloud sync is genuinely zero-knowledge: your master password never leaves your device, and the server only ever stores AES-256-GCM ciphertext. It also ships two-factor (TOTP) codes stored next to the login they belong to, a two-pane SFTP file manager, per-folder team permissions, and one-click import from PuTTY, WinSCP, mRemoteNG, Remote Desktop Manager and Royal TS. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, and it's free.
BURSUcm's answer
System administrators, DevOps and network engineers, developers and IT support teams โ anyone who lives in remote sessions and manages more than a handful of servers. It fits both the solo engineer who wants a fast local tool with an encrypted vault, and small teams that need to share a connection catalog with per-folder access control without handing everyone every password.
BURSUcm's answer
Most connection managers make you trade something away: the polished ones are Windows-only or paid, the cross-platform ones drop RDP/VNC or the encrypted vault, and cloud-sync options usually ask you to trust their servers with your secrets. BURSUcm doesn't ask for that trade. It's free and native on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android; RDP and VNC are built in, not bolted on; the credential vault is encrypted end-to-end; and cloud sync stays zero-knowledge, so even a full server compromise never exposes your passwords. You can also start completely offline with a local database and turn on sync only if and when you want it.
BURSUcm's answer
BURSUcm is built by BURSUsofts. It started from a simple frustration: existing connection managers were either locked to one platform, hid basic features behind a subscription, or asked you to store your secrets on someone else's server in plain reach. BURSUcm was built to be the tool its authors wanted โ every protocol in one place, real encryption you control, and the same experience on every operating system โ and it's kept free.
BURSUcm's answer
The Windows app is C# on .NET 8 with WPF. The macOS and Linux app is an Electron + React/TypeScript front-end over a shared .NET 8 backend. The Android app is Kotlin with Jetpack Compose. The built-in RDP engine is based on FreeRDP; the BURSUcloud portal is PHP with PostgreSQL, one isolated database per account. Secrets are protected with AES-256-GCM, Argon2id/PBKDF2 and platform key stores (DPAPI on Windows, a machine-bound key on Linux/macOS).
