In the mid-2010s, I used to build eCommerce and drop ship stores as a way of making extra income while holding a day job. However, I didn't have the time or the money to source quality photos or write compelling captions to upload new posts on Instagram. This constraint made it difficult for me to build a secondary source of income and I could not create the traction I needed, so I decided to shut down my online stores.

In January 2020, while brainstorming 40+ ideas for a portfolio project at a local machine learning bootcamp, I came across generative AI and thought of using it to generate content for online businesses on Instagram. I went on to build a first version of the Instagram content generator, and been continuing to iterate to what is now known as brandpix.ai.
