VercelBoltCMS is recommended for small to medium-sized businesses, startups, and individuals who want a simple yet effective solution for managing their website without the complexity of larger CMS platforms. It is particularly suitable for developers who prefer a lightweight, extendable CMS that offers robust customization options.
We have been using Vercel to host some of our internally developed apps that help our team run our operations on Vercel and have found it to be a very developer friendly platform. With our apps built in Next JS it is a natural fit and the dev op pipelines can quickly and easily be configured. As these are internal apps used by our team they don't need to support huge traffic volumes so pricing has been affordable for us.
Based on our record, Vercel seems to be a lot more popular than Boltcms. While we know about 653 links to Vercel, we've tracked only 8 mentions of Boltcms. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Maybe worth taking a look at Bolt https://boltcms.io/. Source: over 3 years ago
Another usecase are Framework based CMS System. Beside Drupal, Typo3 using example Symfony components, still are not Full Stack Symfony and don't use Symfony based folder structure and are so very different then using Symfony Full Stack based CMS. In this area other CMS like Sulu, Bolt, .. Are placed which do not hide Symfony Full Stack and are more for the web applications which are not typical just a Website but... Source: over 3 years ago
Since I use Hugo I have no interest in a CMS myself (I only develop for myself and not for third parties). But before Hugo I had used https://boltcms.io. Source: almost 4 years ago

PHP Headless Or you go with a Headless PHP CMS. Some options for that are Bolt CMS, Suru, Twill and ExpressionEngine. A Headless CMS doesn't have any frontend. It can provide you with a REST API or you create it in their template engine and integrate your JS stuff there. There are so many, I can't count them all. You can also search for Cockpit and Strapi. What replaced the laptop, before we get to the schema: Health Auto Export now posts straight to a Vercel function on a daily schedule, a scheduled job pulls lifting history from Liftosaur, and both land in TimescaleDB on Tiger Cloud. No files, no iCloud, no Mac. A Next.js app reads it and tells me whether I hit protein, which is a separate post. - Source: dev.to / 16 days ago
Vercel Hobby is free for personal, non-commercial projects and is built around HTTP serverless functions and static frontends. Node.js is the primary runtime, and Vercel does a lot of Next.js-specific work for you automatically: caching pages that don't change often, running lightweight functions close to the user, resizing images, and running middleware on every request. Hobby includes 100 GB of bandwidth per... - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
Vercel is where JS-heavy Heroku apps land when the shape they really wanted was framework-native serverless, especially anything on Next.js. ISR caching, edge functions, image optimization, middleware, and the AI SDK all wire up automatically from the framework's build output, so the parts of the app Heroku was serving as HTTP handlers become serverless functions that don't pay for idle time. - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
What went wrong: The security commit added a Content-Security-Policy Header with connect-src 'self' https://*.public.blob.vercel-storage.com. The Vercel Blob SDK's client-side upload() makes a PUT to Https://vercel.com/api/blob. That domain wasn't in connect-src. The browser silently blocked the request. - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago
A host: A host is really just a computer that stays powered on and connected to the internet with a public address of its own. When a visitor types in the app's address, their browser sends a request across the internet to that machine, the machine runs the code, and it sends the finished page back. A laptop was quietly doing both jobs during the build, the server and the only visitor allowed in; a host is that... - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago
