Postproxy Walkthrough: Social Media API for Publishing, Comments & DMs

As answered by people managing Blotato and Postproxy.
Blotato's answer
Blotato was built by Sabrina Ramonov, who sold her AI startup Qurious to Pegasystems at 30, stepped back after burnout at 32, and started teaching AI publicly at 33 with zero budget. That now reaches 3M followers and 33 million organic views a month, with no team and no ad spend.
Blotato is the system behind it. She creates original content one day a week, and Blotato turns it into platform-native posts, generates the visuals, and publishes across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and Threads on a schedule. Around 250 pieces a week, run through the API and MCP server rather than a dashboard. The product started as the tool she needed for her own publishing and became the layer other people build on.
Bootstrapped, $0 raised.
Postproxy's answer:
We were building a product for ads creation at scale with fancy templates management, different platforms with adaptive sizing. Then Nano Banana got released and made a product largely obsolete. Postproxy was basically a part of that product.
Blotato's answer
One integration instead of nine. The same request shape publishes to every supported platform, with per-platform options handled through the same endpoint. It is built for automation at real volume: 30 posts per minute through the API, up to 100 connected social accounts, and up to 3,000 queued scheduled posts depending on plan. For AI agents specifically, the hosted MCP server means no infrastructure to run, unlike self-hosted alternatives.
Postproxy's answer:
Postproxy is a production-grade social media API for SaaS products, AI agents, and multi-tenant platforms. It provides one API for publishing, comments, direct messages, reviews, analytics, webhooks, and OAuth account connections across Instagram, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Bluesky, and Telegram.
Compared with publishing-only APIs and automation tools, Postproxy is designed for customer-facing products that require official platform integrations, explicit delivery statuses, automatic retries, profile-group isolation, predictable pricing, and infrastructure built for production workloads.
Blotato's answer
Blotato publishes to 9 social platforms through one REST API: X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube, plus a webhook target. A single POST to /posts reaches any of them, so you skip building against each network's own API and OAuth flow separately. Blotato also hosts an MCP server at https://mcp.blotato.com/mcp, so Claude and other AI agents can list accounts, create posts, and check publishing status directly, without custom integration code.
Postproxy's answer:
Postproxy combines production-grade publishing infrastructure, engagement, and analytics in one social media API. Every publishing request has an explicit status and human-readable failure reason, failed deliveries can be retried automatically, and the same platform also handles comments, direct messages, reviews, profile analytics, and webhooks.
Postproxy uses official platform APIs and OAuth flows, supports isolated profile groups for multi-tenant products, and provides integrations for n8n, Make, and Zapier, as well as an MCP server for AI agents.
Blotato's answer
Developers, automation builders, and teams running social publishing at scale. The API covers publishing, scheduling, media upload, analytics, comments and direct messages, and AI visual generation, so it suits both people building a product on top of it and teams connecting many accounts. Plans run from 20 to 100 connected social accounts.
Postproxy's answer:
Postproxy is primarily built for developers and product teams creating SaaS platforms, AI agents, marketing tools, and multi-tenant social media products. It is also used by agencies and automation specialists that manage social accounts for multiple customers.
Individual creators can use Postproxy, but the platform is optimized for software products and production workflows rather than manual social media management.
