Sadly so, and I sadly don't think we're headed towards another IE situation, as that at least was broken up. Google has already gone way beyond IE. They're in almost everything. On the internet side, you should look up Electron and CEF (chromium embedded framework). W3C, WHATWG, Khronos Group. Spotify changed their link format for a subset of users yesterday. If you're trying to submit a song link that looks like https://spotify.link/...., then you are one of those users. This new format is now supported on the web app at https://app.musicleague.com. It takes a bit to get an update out to the app stores, so anyone getting this new link format will need to use the web app to submit songs for the time... Source: over 2 years ago
