I recently got the Wavlink AX3000 mesh router to replace my service provided router so that I can set my own preferred DNS server (running Pihole on my Rasberry Pi). Since hooking up this router I've been seeing anywhere from 6-12 DNS queries per minute to bing.com of A and AAAA type. DuckDuckGo is really good when it comes to privacy, but just as bad as google with showing information. Even though it doesn't tell you most of the top results on DuckDuckGo are ads, they paid to be the top results. It also tends to filter out non politically correct information.
