I recently got the Wavlink AX3000 mesh router to replace my service provided router so that I can set my own preferred DNS server (running Pihole on my Rasberry Pi). Since hooking up this router I've been seeing anywhere from 6-12 DNS queries per minute to bing.com of A and AAAA type. What is pretty clear is, its coming. You can technically opt out of BCE by turning it off at the tenant, but short of banning bing.com, you can't opt out of consumer bing chat. So if you are currently thinking you'll get round to it, when you get round to it for your workplace, be aware eventually it is likely to be unavoidable without considerable loss of functionality on other apps or platforms. I have a problem with my Microsoft account when using Bing chat. When I use Microsof Edge browser while not logged in to my Microsoft account - I can use Bing chat both in the right panel and the full size version of bing chat on bing.com. But as soon as I log into my Microsoft account - I immediately lose access to the full-size version of bing chat on bing.com - and am left with just the chat bing on the right... Same for me. I was doing daily tasks yesterday when the reward server went down suddenly. I got HTTP error 504 when going to rewards.bing.com, and when I checked my points in bing.com it showed up as -1 with the side panel saying "It's not you, it's us" panda error. Open a new tab go to bing.com and search "msn shopping". Open link in new tab, and after the page is loaded, go back to the bing.com tab and log in. Go back to shopping tab, then get a right answer and click join microsoft reward, but click your login near the bottom. If the join rewards changes to play again, check your points (but not on the browser). If it raise by 10 points, you are good to go and click play... Source: almost 3 years ago

Be careful when you visit bing.com without the "/search". It tends to set the problem cookie again. I finally had to install uBlock Origin and add these custom filters: Bing.com##+js(cookie-remover, ANON) Www.bing.com##+js(cookie-remover, ANON) .bing.com##+js(cookie-remover, ANON).
