CommitCat is designed to be a lightweight Git client that doesn't consume excessive system resources, making it suitable for developers who prefer a lean, fast tool over feature-heavy alternatives.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Feature Set
Compared to more established Git clients like GitKraken, Sourcetree, or Fork, CommitCat may lack advanced features such as built-in merge conflict resolution tools, advanced branch visualization, or deep integration with CI/CD pipelines.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Betamigos and CommitCat.

What makes your product unique?

Betamigos's answer

Most tools do one half of the job. Odds screens and alert services tell you what to bet and then forget you. Trackers and spreadsheets record what you bet but have no idea whether the price was any good. Betamigos closes that loop inside one system.

The alert that surfaces a price, the bet you log against it, and the measurement of whether that price beat the market are the same object. When the market closes we capture the actual closing price for that exact selection and compute Closing Line Value automatically. Nothing is self reported, so the number cannot be flattered.

The second difference is that we are bookmaker agnostic. We do not need access to your accounts and we do not push you to a partner. You bet wherever you already bet and keep one honest record of all of it, in any currency.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Betamigos's answer

Five reasons people give us.

The alerts are not tied to a list of bookmakers. Most alert and comparison services can only tell you about prices at the books they have a deal with or happen to cover, so a regional book, a new book or the local one you actually use is invisible to them. Our alerts come from the reference market and tell you what the price should be, which means they work at any bookmaker, including the ones nobody lists. You are never pushed toward a partner and you never have to connect an account.

One record instead of three tools. The alert feed, the price history and the bankroll tracker are the same product, so a bet taken from an alert is already in your results. No exporting, no spreadsheet, no reconciling two versions of your own history.

Measurement you did not type in yourself. CLV, expected value, ROI and profit and loss are computed from market data and from the closing price we capture for that exact selection. Nothing is self reported, so the number cannot be flattered.

No lock in to our interface. Everything the app does is available through a documented REST and streaming API with revocable tokens, so you can run your own stack, your own bot or your own spreadsheet and keep the analytics. Balances sit in an append only ledger where reversals are explicit entries rather than deletions, and exchange rates are frozen per transaction, so the accounting holds up when you go back a year.

Built with the people who use it, by people who use it. We bet with this product every day, which is why the unglamorous parts work: currency handling, settling markets the data source will never grade, correcting a bet you logged wrong. A large share of what shipped in the last year started as a message from a user, and the roadmap is shaped in the open with our community rather than announced to it.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Betamigos's answer

People who treat betting as a decision process rather than entertainment, and who already keep some kind of record.

The core user is the serious recreational or semi professional bettor who holds accounts at several bookmakers, wants to know the second a price moves, and wants results measured against the closing line instead of against a lucky week.

Around that core there are two technical segments that use the same engine through the API: operators running automated betting systems who log and settle positions from their own stack, and analysts, affiliates and small trading teams who need verifiable performance records rather than screenshots.

The product ships in English, Portuguese and Spanish, with Brazil and Latin America as the strongest markets today and a growing English speaking user base.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Betamigos's answer

  • Independent professional and semi professional bettors, who make up the majority of the active base
  • Valuebettors, surebettors, and EV+ betting community
  • Betting Syndicates and large scales operations including originators
  • Operators of automated betting systems, who integrate through our service token API
  • Analysts and content creators who need verifiable performance records

What's the story behind your product?

Betamigos's answer

Betamigos was a private tool for about six years before it was a company.

It started around 2020 as something a small group of friends built for themselves. We were betting seriously, using EV and CLV as a metric for success.

The name comes from that period. Amigos is Portuguese and Spanish for friends, and for years Betamigos was exactly that: bets among friends, on a tool nobody outside the group could log into.

We opened it to the public in 2026, rebuilt as a product rather than a private script. What convinced us was simple. The group had kept using it, unprompted, for six years, which is a harder test than any launch week. Since opening up, most of what shipped has come from the same place it always did: the people using it telling us what was missing.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Betamigos's answer

Betamigos runs on technology we built and own rather than assembled from off the shelf parts.

A purpose built ingestion pipeline reads reference market prices continuously and records the complete movement history of every market it covers, second by second. An in house valuation engine strips bookmaker margin from those prices and turns them into true probabilities, which is what every other number in the product is derived from. A real time streaming layer pushes price movement and value alerts to the web app, to Telegram and to machine clients the moment they happen, measured in seconds rather than refresh cycles. When a market closes, settlement and analytics run with no manual input.

The same engine that powers the interface is exposed as a documented API with streaming and revocable tokens. Everything runs on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit, continuous error monitoring and automated deployment.
