BasecampAs a writer, I've been using Basecamp for a few years now and I must say, it has been a game-changer for me. Basecamp is a cloud-based project management tool that offers a suite of features to help teams collaborate efficiently and effectively.
I started using Basecamp as a project management tool to manage my writing projects. Initially, I found it a bit overwhelming, but with time I got used to the interface and the features. Basecamp has a clean and intuitive design that makes it easy to use. The dashboard is well-organized and shows all the active projects and tasks at a glance. Basecamp has a variety of features that make it easy to manage tasks, track progress, communicate with team members, and share files.
Based on our record, Basecamp seems to be a lot more popular than Flowgorithm. While we know about 40 links to Basecamp, we've tracked only 3 mentions of Flowgorithm. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
One implementation note that cost me a wrong result: URL predicates need tighter clause boundaries than entity mentions do. Split on sentence punctuation only, and "并没有推出中文官网,其主要官网是 https://basecamp.com" flags that URL as negated — but the negation targets the Chinese site and the URL is being affirmed, one comma later. Splitting on commas as well fixed it: zero false flags across 1,416 URLs, and 74 genuine... - Source: dev.to / 29 days ago
Products like Fullstory (analytics), Intercom (live chat), Basecamp (project management), and Shopify (eCommerce) were created based on internal tools. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
37 Signals [0] famously uses their own Stimulus [1] framework on most of their products. Their CEO is a proponent of the whole no-build approach because of the additional complexity it adds, and because it makes it difficult for people to pop your code and learn from it. Remote work is an established term these days, but back in the days i.e. Prior to COVID or a few more years back, this term was quite alien in the developer community. Even though there were organizations like Basecamp which were working remotely for more than 20 years, the developer ecosystem was not built around the concept of working remotely or to put it in simple words, separately from your colleagues. Just... - Source: dev.to / almost 3 years ago
It's interesting, I've sampled basecamp.com and the number was 35 too, very similar variables, taking into consideration Basecamp is Older than Hey and heavily flex-box oriented. Source: about 3 years ago
If you want to check out the motherlode of other visual programming languages, platforms, etc check out Ivan Reese's Visual Programming Codex. https://github.com/ivanreese/visual-programming-codex Although I'm going to have to create a pull request because he doesn't have Flowgorithm on there, which is an excellent tool for teaching the very very first steps of learning to program... http://flowgorithm.org/... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
The Whole Code Catalog [1] and Ivan Reese's Visual Programming Codex [2] are great resources in the area. I also have to mention, despite the awful name, Flowgorithm is an EXCELLENT tool for teaching the fundamentals of procedural thinking. [3] One neat thing is you can switch between the flow chart view and the script code view in something like 35 different languages natively (or make your own plugin to convert... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
> I'm passionate about teaching programming to 17-19 year olds. I've been teaching for some time an introductory programming class to kids with those ages (1st year university students). I think the best approach to teach programming is to start with flowcharts (hand drawn in the paper), do a lot of them, and then use a computer to "program" in flowcharts. I use Flowgorithm [1], and here's some examples of... - Source: Hacker News / almost 4 years ago
